Trattoria Da Bruno

Very pleasant ambiance, friendly service with a Venetian dialect. Authentic. Very good beef carpaccio and beef fillet. Good wine recommendation: San Giovanese.

Good service and kindness but the quality of the dishes is not above average. The same dishes with Mediterranean fish are something else. However, you cannot expect more.

I had the seafood appetizer with typical Venetian dishes (not particularly exciting, with dishes that were not very tasty and almost cold) and linguine allo scoglio (good). The bill was rather disappointing, not so much for the well-known 12% service charge that penalizes all Venetian restaurants and the over-the-top costs of the cover charge, but by virtue of the prices of a glass of wine (a banal Pinot Bianco at 6.50) and especially of a grappa (10 €!!!) which obviously increase the total and consequently the service. Too bad.

We had dinner at this restaurant, little choice on the menu. We ordered two fillets and requested very different cooking, two fillets arrived with identical cooking, therefore we sent one back to the kitchen for the requested cooking and definitely small as fillets. We spent a lot for what was served to us, the restaurant in Venice where we spent the most.

Very good food and very good service! Everything was very good! I would go back!
