The dashi-yaki udon was pretty good, decent portion for the price. I liked the quiet, no-music setting. It felt relaxed. The noodles could have been a bit firmer, but overall a fine meal.

Stopped by after visiting Shitennoji Temple. The place has such a cozy, traditional vibe. I tried their signature ramen—the broth was really rich and the noodles had a nice chew. Just a simple, solid bowl.

Had a quick lunch here before my next meeting. Ordered the set menu. Food came out fast, which was great. The portion was decent for the price. Didn't feel rushed at all.

Cozy old-town feel with counter and tatami seats. The walls are covered in autographs from celebs and sumo wrestlers, which is a fun touch.

Been coming here for years. The menu's big, but I always get the same thing. It's just consistently good, and I'm in and out in 30 minutes. That's what keeps me coming back.

The drip coffee is a highlight here. You can pick your own beans, which is a nice touch. The aroma when you walk in is very pleasant. Coffee itself is solid, though the price point is a bit on the higher side.

Stopped by for the large zaru soba again. Noodles were firm, sauce was good as usual. A solid, reliable spot when you're near the station.

Staff was super friendly, helped me pick a vegetarian dish. The portion was generous for the price, I couldn't finish it all. Good value.

The green onion ramen was pretty good. The broth was light and the scallions were fresh and thinly sliced, adding a nice crunch. A decent portion, too.

I tried their breakfast set and really appreciated the fresh ingredients. The salad greens were crisp, and the poached eggs were just right. A nice, balanced start to the day.

Been stopping here for years on the way back from Yoshino. The big parking lot is always a relief after a long drive.

A nice quiet spot to rest after a day out. The shaved ice was pretty good, light and not too sweet. The space itself is comfortable. Just wish I’d found it sooner.

The Asuka Ruby parfait was a nice treat. Good portion of strawberries, decently creamy. A bit sweet for my taste, but a solid way to finish up.

The Yamagata beef here is so tender, just melts in your mouth. The marbling was really beautiful. I had a very comfortable seat by the window, which made the whole meal feel relaxing. A nice, quiet spot for a solo dinner.

The Asukaji set is good value. The nyumen soup had shrimp tempura and sesame tofu, broth was nicely balanced.

Imai Zen's set lunch is a solid deal. The tempura was freshly fried, nice and crisp. You get a good variety of sides with rice and soba too. For the price, the portion is quite generous.

Been coming here for years. The relaxed vibe is always the same, never too loud or rushed. It's why I keep coming back. Just a comfortable place to have a meal.

Love the Showa-era vibe here. The retro decor is so well-preserved, and the atmosphere is genuinely relaxed. It really does feel like stepping into another time. Perfect for a slow coffee.

First time trying the legendary Mitsuya Rice. The demi-glace sauce really brings everything together.
