Houtou Fudou, Kawaguchiko Ekimae

This restaurant has a long history. One of its branches is right across from Kawaguchiko Station. It is very popular. I went there when it just opened at 11am today. When I came out at 12pm after eating, I was surprised to see a long queue at the door. Generally, everyone orders Hoto from Yamanashi Prefecture, which is a bit like thicker udon noodles. The pot is very large. If you have a small appetite, two people can order one portion and some other dishes. There are vegetables such as cabbage, mushrooms, carrots, and pumpkin in the pot, but no meat. It is very warm to eat in winter~ The store sells various specialties, and there are also raw noodles that you can take home and cook yourself.

Right across from Kawaguchiko Station! Wooden decoration, vegetarian iron pot udon, and the Spurs are a must! It feels great! There are several tables full of people if you go early, and there is a queue behind!

The so-called Berto is a kind of thick and wide noodles. It is a special delicacy in the Kawaguchiko area. This store has many chains in Kawaguchiko. There is a store in front of the JR station at the mouth of the river, which is directly opposite the exit of the station. Inside, there are also some dried noodles for sale, which you can take home and cook yourself. But Berto itself is chewy, and there is no meat in the big pot of noodles, so I think it is generally not that delicious.

A pot of rolled noodles cut into strips, only vegetables but no meat, the soup base was too salty, nothing in the menu suited me, I was afraid of horse meat sashimi, and there were a few small snacks. If it was a girl, it would be better to share the pot. Seeing so many people queuing at the door, I thought it was delicious, but it turned out to be disappointing. I personally think the location of the Kawaguchiko Station Store is really great. Behind the station store, you can see the entire view of Mount Fuji. There is also a wide variety of goods here, each of which is very exquisite and pleasing to the eye.
