This is a restaurant that specializes in Kobe beef. The food is pretty good as kaiseki cuisine. Kobe beef is really expensive, costing more than ten yuan per gram, but it is really delicious.
Kobe Beef Kaiseki 511 is located at Dear Plaza Akasaka, B1 107-0052, Akasaka 4-3-28, Minato-ku, Tokyo. The venue is very nice and compliments the truly first class service. The seafood and Kobe beef set meal was expensive and tasteless, like food from business class on an airplane. The Kobe beef came in 80g which was the only reasonable portion for the dish. Considering the value and all the choices Tokyo has to offer, I don't think this meal is worth it at all.
We searched online for this restaurant 15 minutes before arriving. It was very busy and we were able to get a table for 4 in 20 minutes even though we didn't have a reservation. We had just arrived in Tokyo and it was late, but that didn't stop us from enjoying such a delicious dinner! The waiter explained in detail how each dish was prepared. Everything was cooked to perfection and we want to go back tomorrow. Even our kids loved the hamburger combo (no bun, just tender beef and rice) and begged us to come back for the next three nights. It's a great place to have dinner if you're nearby!
The Japanese cuisine at Kobe Beef Kaiseki 511 feels good and is definitely worth visiting at least once. The waiters are very enthusiastic and the prices are very reasonable. I like this restaurant very much and I must come here every time I travel, and this time is no exception.
