If you&#39;re at Tobu Nikko station, try their yuba teishoku. The set is unique and filling. Had to wait in line for about 20 minutes, but it moved okay. For the price, the portion was decent.

The &#39;Kegon Fall&#39; cocktail with its dry ice was a showstopper. A nice, creative use of local botanicals in their drinks.

I had a wonderful lunch at Kanaya Hotel, where the service was exceptional and the food was delicious. The traditional curry was rich in flavor, and the dessert pudding was a nostalgic treat.

The local soba here has a really distinct flat shape. You get a strong buckwheat aroma the moment you pick it up with your chopsticks. The texture is firm, holds up well in the broth. Sarashina was good too, but that local one is the standout.

Nice Viennese vibe. The curry was pretty good, and it&#39;s handy they&#39;re open on New Year&#39;s Day.

The udon here is so fresh, you can tell it&#39;s from the factory. The noodles are smooth and have a nice shine to them. I got some to take home too.
