The view over the sea really is something, especially when the sun goes down. Food was okay, nothing I&#39;d write home about, but you&#39;re paying for the scenery more than the plate. Portions felt a bit small for the price, honestly. Fine for a one-off drink or a light bite, just don&#39;t come starving.

The margherita pizza was properly done&mdash;chewy crust, good amount of sauce. Staff actually checked in a couple times without hovering. Coffee was solid too, which is rare around here. Place was a bit warm inside but fine. I&#39;d go back if I&#39;m in the area again.

Our first time to Trieste and we wanted to have a nice dinner as a couple with the ambience of the sea view&hellip;.. we made reservations for 7 30. Little did we know it was a stormy night but it surely wasn&rsquo;t stormy at Pier of the Roof! We were 29 minutes early and they were kind enough to sit us early. We had a table with a beautiful view of the sea. It was such a calming effect like the beauty of the decor inside. The staff was so attentive to our every question and especially the manager Alice and her amazing man and woman combo of servers. Our apologies for not remembering there names. Our dinner was the most freshest seafood we have ever tasted! We felt we were family at Alice&rsquo;s home with her family instead of patrons at a restaurant! We highly recommend this restaurant not only for the freshest and tasty food but also for the View, Ambience, Price and the amazing staff! We will be back rain or shine!

Great spot to hang with friends, the fritaja with homemade sausage was so good. Place was a bit busy but that just added to the vibe. Solid Istrian food for sure 👍
