Been coming here for years after visiting the ruins. Always get the terrace seat. It's just quiet. Staff remembers my usual order, which is nice. A solid spot that hasn't changed.

The seasoned rice with the set meal is so good. Savory and a perfect match for the udon.

Their soup hamburger is interesting. The broth is Japanese-style, rich but not too heavy. The patty holds up well even when it gets soaked. A bit messy to eat, but that's part of it.

The broth is much darker and richer than your usual Kansai-style soba. I liked that a lot. It went perfectly with their firm, thick noodles. That specific combination is what I come here for.

Service was pretty good. They were attentive but not intrusive, checked in at the right moments, and kept my glass topped up. A decent experience overall.

I was impressed by the variety of dishes offered at HARAKAWA. The seafood fried rice was packed with flavor, and the mapo tofu had the perfect balance of spice. It's a great place for a special occasion or a family meal.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, especially the creative use of seasonal ingredients in the dishes.
