Loved the upstairs tatami seating. It felt so peaceful up there, just a quiet little corner above the bustle. The mats were clean and comfortable, really made the whole meal feel different. Food was good, too.

This place is a find. The Hiroshima brown rice had a great texture, and the chicken was tender. I'd suggest a crisp white wine with the dashi miso soup, it cuts through the richness nicely. A solid lunch spot.

The free upgrade to medium noodles is a nice touch. I went with the smaller portion and still felt satisfied. It's a thoughtful way to cater to different appetites without feeling wasteful.

The fried rice set with dumplings and their signature meat noodles are always good. What I really appreciate is how comfortable the booths are. It's nice to have a meal where you can just relax and not feel rushed.

Ordering with the QR code was super easy! Loved that you can choose your rice size from small to extra large. Perfect for when my friends and I have different appetites. The menu had so many options we spent ages deciding.

The ramen broth was surprisingly mild, which I liked. The thick, tender char siu was the star for me.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. The happosai was packed with veggies and a total steal at 290 yen. Got it with a side of kushikatsu - crispy and went perfectly with a cold beer. Simple and hit the spot.

Been coming here for years. That katsu curry is just right, not too sweet, not too spicy. The double egg katsudon is my usual order. Simple menu, but they do it well. A bit of a wait sometimes, but it's worth it.

Been coming here for years, and the curry specials are always on point. That spice balance is consistently good, never too much or too little. It's why I keep coming back. Yeah, it gets busy, but that's part of the deal.

The Showa-era vibe here is so calming. It's a nice break from the busy Shinsekai streets just outside. Felt like a little escape.

Stopped by for the large zaru soba again. Noodles were firm, sauce was good as usual. A solid, reliable spot when you're near the station.

The green onion ramen was pretty good. The broth was light and the scallions were fresh and thinly sliced, adding a nice crunch. A decent portion, too.

I tried their breakfast set and really appreciated the fresh ingredients. The salad greens were crisp, and the poached eggs were just right. A nice, balanced start to the day.

Been stopping here for years on the way back from Yoshino. The big parking lot is always a relief after a long drive.

The Asuka Ruby parfait was a nice treat. Good portion of strawberries, decently creamy. A bit sweet for my taste, but a solid way to finish up.

The Yamagata beef here is so tender, just melts in your mouth. The marbling was really beautiful. I had a very comfortable seat by the window, which made the whole meal feel relaxing. A nice, quiet spot for a solo dinner.

First time trying the legendary Mitsuya Rice. The demi-glace sauce really brings everything together.

The Nara Lunch set was perfect for trying a bit of everything. Loved the variety of local flavors in one go. Portion was just right for me!

Stopped by for lunch. The miso liver soup was a pleasant surprise, really tasty. Not something I'd usually order, but glad I did.

The draft beer set is a decent deal. You get a half portion of a side and some pan-fried gyoza. It’s a pretty good choice for a casual bite. The gyoza could have been a bit crispier, but it was fine overall.

The tamagoyaki set is a solid choice. Omelet's fluffy and has a nice dashi taste. Portion was big, came with a few little sides. Good for a quick lunch.

The century-old pudding is the reason I came. That rich, smooth custard with the slightly bitter caramel on top is exactly what I wanted. A classic done right.

The takoyaki with just vinegar and shichimi is a fun way to try it. The space itself is really cozy and inviting.

Been coming here for years. The bigger location is my go-to, never feels rushed even when it's packed. Food's always the same, that's what keeps me coming back.

The sea bream and chicken broth was really nice. Clear and light, not too heavy.

The omelet curry here is pretty good. The dry curry rice inside has raisins and peas, and the beef on top is tender. The roux is a bit sweet but also spicy. I've been coming here for years, and this dish is always consistent.
