TheForkUserWe have regularly dined in Hamburgueria B&B while staying in the area. The staff are great, the restaurant is a library of world craft beers & the food is amazing. The burgers are so tasty & home made!! They have a really good menu. They also have a burger of the month special and we managed to enjoy their October & November offers that were delicious. They marry flavours so very well that you can’t put your burger down after the first bite!!! I was spoiled with their gluten free options too. (Bun & chips) Loved their fresh salmon burger I had yesterday evening. We can also recommend their cheese cakes!!! So fresh & wonderfully homemade. We highly recommend a visit…you’ll be hooked !!!

We enjoy their Italian food.The staff are friendly, the food is very good and it's good value.Sesmarias is a little way out from the holiday villages of Carvoeiro and Ferragudo but Casa Joao is worth visiting and there is usually parking available on the roadside.

TheForkUserExcellent, efficient and friendly service. I got the chicken linguine which was so light and delicious. We had reserved the 6.30 slot so had the choice of inside or out but it did get very busy later on so would recommend you reserve. Would go back as there was so much to choose from.

I am pleased to see the menu has been tweaked, and I have to say that my Pizza Mexicana was one of the best I have ever had. It took several attempts to get the bill, but with only 2 waiting staff they were very busy. More waiting staff needed for busier times. We were not impressed with the quality of the olives for the covers, too small, bitter and hard.

TheForkUserWe have been coming to Paraiso’s for the last 6 years and love everything about it. The food and service is exquisite and Lena and her team cannot do enough for her guests. I highly recommend the steak on the stone with peppercorn sauce, the turkey and mushroom dish and you really must try one of Lena’s homemade desserts- cheescake, banoffee pie or the tiramisu! All are simply divine!

TheForkUserYou'd never know it from outside but this is a really cozy spot with great quality pizza. The owner was a real character and took time to walk us through some of his favourite menu items. We split 3 pizzas and one of their amazing thin crust garlic breads for a family of 4. I don't remember the name, but the white pizza with seasonal figs had a beautiful blend of flavours (we took a 2nd to go for a quick beach snack the next day). The draft beer was cold and the atmosphere was just right... albeit in a small footprint. Make sure to reserve a table during peak season!

One suggestion take a taxi as getting here can be challenging, it’s located in a residential neighborhood with very steep hills and narrow streets. And our GPS got confused and we drove around in circles. It’s a set menu for 38€, 7 courses, five starters and two mains one fish and meat. All of the dishes are authentic Portuguese cuisine and mostly seafood. Truly fresh ingredients, some highlights fresh clams in a garlic butter sauce, lightly battered shrimp, fresh fish with homemade pasta in a light broth with piri piri and cilantro. The pork on the bone in a light stew was so incredibly tender and juicy.The mini dessert sampler was fantastic! The almond crunch was fantastic as was the lemon and carob cakes. The service was excellent and our waiter is the son of the owner’s and his Mom is the chef who we met and thanked her for a truly phenomenal and special meal.

The chicken teriyaki is a winner along with the gyozas. we also has the beef strips, octopus and apple pie which was made with filo pasty - yum!. i was looking forward to having the clams but unfortunately they had finished by the time we dined at 9pm. The service was attentive, decor and ambience of the restaurant was pleasant. Would highly recommend and advise that you book to ensure you get a table.

Highly recommend!We stayed for a short trip in the block next door to this amazing restaurant and thought we would give it a go, little did we know we would return for 3 nights because it was so amazing! The food is absolutely stunning, cooking amazingly and so flavourful! Service was always top notch, super attentive, welcoming and accommodating and the atmosphere was comfortable and cheerful every time. Would definitely advise anyone to give this place a try, i would say it’s hard not to love it.
