Been coming for years, and the bartenders still know how to surprise you. Letting them pick your cocktail is the way to go.

The two-for-one cocktails were a pleasant surprise. They were well-made, not watered down at all. The space is spacious with a nice vibe. A solid choice for a casual drink after work.

The place just feels so cosy and welcoming. Staff are lovely and really know their stuff - they suggested a dish I'd never have ordered myself and it was spot on.

Love that it's BYOB! Popped over to the shop opposite for a bottle. Their non-alcoholic options are fab too - my friend who's not drinking had a great mocktail. Perfect for a casual catch-up.

Tried their festive turkey sandwich for the first time. The poached eggs were runny just right, and the avocado was super fresh. Cleaned my plate, so that says it all. A solid lunch spot.

A handy spot just off the motorway, next to a Premier Inn. Decent for a straightforward meal when you don't fancy driving any further. The pasta was pretty good, though the sauce was a touch heavy for me. Fine for what it is.

Got caught in the rain, so we ducked in here. The staff were nice and opened up a section for us. Food took a while, but it was decent pub food. Heard the beer is good, which is a plus.

The full English was spot on! The bacon was more like a proper gammon steak, and the portion kept me going all morning. Perfect for a lazy weekend catch-up.

This place is my go-to for a simple, home-cooked meal. The vibe is just right - warm lighting, comfy wooden chairs, and it never feels too crowded. Perfect for when you just want a quiet, no-fuss dinner.

The vegan fish and chips are really good. The staff were so friendly, which made the whole visit very comfortable.

Dog-friendly spot with board games. The pizzas looked huge and tasty, even though I didn't order one.

The breakfast wrap was massive, really hit the spot. Good, honest portions for the price. I saw a few other tables getting the sandwiches and they looked just as hefty.

What an amazing little country pub, restaurant and hotel with beautiful views, varied and traditional home cooked food and very comfortable room. Would highly recommend.

Mixed grill was spot on. Steak tender, chips hot and crispy. Quick service too - got my order in and out within the lunch hour. Solid value for the quality.

The staff here are so lovely. They always take a moment to chat, which makes the whole experience feel really relaxed. It's a nice change of pace.

The staff are consistently friendly and efficient, which is nice. Pizzas come out hot and fresh every time. It's a pretty reliable spot for a quick bite.

Lovely spot on the Whitehaven waterfront. The pub's got a great vibe. Had a pint of their local ale with the fish and chips - a classic pairing that really hit the spot. The beer was crisp and cut through the batter nicely. A solid choice for a casual meal by the water.

The fish and chips are spot on. The triple-cooked chips are properly crispy, and the fish is lovely. Solid pub grub.

Found this spot in Ulverston. The apple crumble was the highlight, honestly. Fresh, not too sweet. Gluten-free options too, which is handy. Decent prices.

The staff were so nice and attentive, which made the whole evening really pleasant. My meal was lovely too. Just a small thing, but the chairs were a bit hard for a longer dinner. Still, I'd happily return.
