TheForkUserIf I could predict my "last supper" it would be at Le Castelet. The food is amazingly good and the owners make you feel so welcome but not intrusive. They deserve all the positive feedback they receive. If you are ever in Blois make sure you book Le Castelet. You will not be disappointed.
TheForkUserOn arrival, a restaurant in a bland hotel on a roundabout under construction: not immediately promising. The amuse bouche soon laid any fears to rest, though: an excellent meal then followed. There is a chef in this kitchen with a real genius for textures and taste combinations. It matches or exceeds Michelin starred food I have eaten. Everything was delicious, and a few (the tonka bean dessert and the polenta cake with the guinea fowl) were stand-outs. Service was attentive. We had a wonderful lunch.
TheForkUserOne of the few quality restaurants open in Blois on a Monday evening. My five discerning guests and I were not disappointed. Very good service and well presented food.
TheForkUserExceptional meal - the chef is very creative and is expert at using surprising ingredients in interesting ways. A special mention for the desserts which the chef came to serve and which he tailors to each guest, depending on the guest’s preferences. Wine list is also good with many local wines.A great experience from start to finish.
TheForkUserVery nice country inn managed by a charming couple. Creative cuisine mixing traditional French recipes and exotic spices. Surprisingly good!
TheForkUserAfter a busy day of touring châteaus, it was wonderful to unwind at this restaurant which offers beautiful views of the Cher River and an ancient bridge. We enjoyed a lovely repast — melt in your mouth lamb, tarte Tatin and Saumur wine. Service was most attentive and we look forward to a return visit soon!
TheForkUserThis amazing restaurant is well worth the visit from anywhere south of Paris. Every course was well thought out, and even though we ordered fois gras, we received a bonus fois gras dish after the excellent amuse. The lobster “three ways” was perhaps the other highlight although both deserts were spectacular. A special mention for the wine pairing that was perhaps the best I have had, all wines locally sourced as well. And bring your kids. The children’s menu is incredibly affordable and is to the same standard as the adult menu. C’est magnifique!. 10/10
TheForkUserVery nice restaurant with a good vibe. The food was very good at a reasonable price. We had the sparkling rose which was excellent. Very good experience and would recommend
TheForkUserVery good food ! Quiet and nice athmosphere on the terrace outside Very friendly and professional service
TheForkUserNice restaurant with a very nice view on Chambord castle (luckily we were able to eat outside); due to a misunderstanding our main course arrived late, but with a view on Chambord castle we could not complain; very nice dessert, and nice French cooking with a modern twist
TheForkUserBooked at short notice. We were welcomed enthusiastically. Sat outside with excellent ambiance Menu is limited but varied and the food which arrived quickly was excellent and perfectly cooked. Not as grand as some but this was our favourite local restaurant on a cycle tour down the Loire.
TheForkUserBeautiful and artistic presentation. The tastes were as fabulous as the appearances! Wonderful and helpful waiter that helped us navigate the menu and wine pairings. Tre Bon!
TheForkUserExcellent and varied food in a modern yet comfortable setting. The food presentation is way above par and the combination of ingredients and tasts is tantalizing.Unfortunately, one of our friendly waiters spoke broken English only and was unable to convey the specialities and ingredients of each course, which diminished the experience somewhat.
TheForkUserBeautiful chateau experiance, we have been before and our only dissappointment was the delicious theater of crepe suizette was missing from the menu.
TheForkUserWe came to sreebrate my husbans 42 birthday We ordered to 20:00 we got our food at 21:30! No english menu so we didnt understand some of the dishes and what we ordered was not very good. Small portions, birned french fryes. Only the shampane was tasty.
TheForkUserVery comfortable restaurant with efficient and friendly staff. Food absolutely delicious.
TheForkUserWe followed the advice of the host at our B&B and we’re glad we did. Our mealwas delicious - no elements were anything but very good indeed. We enjoyed the €56 menu which had four courses plus numerous extras. Gazpacho with lobster, stuffed pigeon squab, and rhubarb soufflé were highlights.
_TI***k0The service was impeccable, with a dedicated team that made us feel welcomed throughout our meal. The flavors in the dishes were elaborate and surprisingly delicious.
