TheForkUserNice food and a very kind and patient lady made our evening memorable, she is the star of the restaurant;
TheForkUserWhat a wonderful lunch celebrating my wife's birthday! The food and service was exceptional. Jeremy and the team have created a great spot for either lunch or dinner!
TheForkUserLovely meal very French as you would expect nicely served and very well presented. First time there and as such was a leap of faith when taking friends but it was worth it. Robin
TheForkUserAbout average
TheForkUserInteresting proposal really unconventional. The portions are not so big but with high quality. Wines a little expensive.
TheForkUserWe had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food was expertly prepared, with attention to both taste and presentation. I had the bass, which was delicate and flavorful, while other guests enjoyed the roasted Camembert with honey—a truly indulgent treat. The service was outstanding—helpful, kind, and attentive without being intrusive.Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Ambiance: 5/5
TheForkUserThe food was really amazing. The oysters were great, as was the fish of the day. We loved sitting outside on the beautiful terrace and enjoying the view on the towers of La Rochelle. Service was a bit forgetful at times, though they were very friendly.
TheForkUserFantastic, attentive and very professional service. Generous and delicious main courses, very fresh and tasty starters. Delicious wine. We didn't have desserts this time but I saw them being served and they looked perfect as well. We thought it was very good value for such quality, and really appreciated the view of the boats and the relative calm of the Gabut area in general. Full sun at 8-9pm, I was pleased to have my sunglasses!
TheForkUserWe really liked the location in a quiet neat pedestrian street nestled behind La Tour de la Chaîne. The carbonara dishes we ordered were very nicely presented and prepared with care. The servers were very friendly. All in all, a lovely place to dine in La Rochelle..
TheForkUserThis restaurant lived up to my expectations. If you enjoy a well prepared quality steak, then this is the place to go. The wine and the dessert were also very good. The relaxed and friendly service enhanced the experience. I would definitely return to this restaurant.
TheForkUserWent with my husband for diner date and we took "massive box", It's quite worthy only if they put a bit less rice on the sushi, but we'll definitely come back to try something else.
TheForkUserWe made a point of revisiting this delightful restaurant. Welcoming friendly staff, served good food, seated in the lovely garden area, what more could one wish for.
TheForkUserIt doesn’t matter how many times we go to Le Cayola it’s always amazing. The food is just the best, the staff are very professional, charming and attentive. They make you feel special and whatever you reason to be at Le Cayola they will make it a meal to remember.
TheForkUserWhat an amazing find! This has been one of our best experiences this holiday. The food and wine were sublime ( especially the tartar du bar et crevette and the red pepper tapenade was sophisticated and tasted like summer in your mouth) the trio of desserts were also a delight with an added extra for good measure. The environment is remote but an added extra, we could park overnight with our camping car. The views of the sunset topped off a wonderful experience. Chef Pascal greeted diners and took time to come out from the kitchen to discuss the food and wine. It was a wonderful evening that we would recommend anyone in the area to experience! We would also say it’s worth a little detour out of your way enjoy the delights on offer. Merci to Pascal and his team. We truly enjoyed our 24th wedding anniversary at your restaurant.
TheForkUserWe had read verging reviews so we’re not sure what to expect but found the experience enjoyable. Service excellent and watching the sunset was a bonus
TheForkUserWent for lunch while visiting La Rochelle, everything we ate was delicious! The calamari to start was fresh, the cheese and meat board (small individual one) was super tasty & perfect portion size. For mains I ordered the white fish with potato and courgette & it was absolutely amazing, my partner had the burger and the Bernaise sauce with the bacon and cheese was an absolute hit. Would definitely recommend. Had 40% off too with the fork so it was quite cheap!
TheForkUserWe were recommended this restaurant by the manager of our accommodation and were not disappointed the food was lovely staff were very attentive Would definitely come back or recommend to anyone
TheForkUserDelicious food and the terrace under the vine was fresh despite the heat outside. The wines in “pichet” are quite expensive while the price of the bottles are more reasonable. We enjoyed an excellent Nerod’Avola.
_TI***diThe view from this restaurant is absolutely breathtaking, making it a perfect spot for a special occasion or a romantic dinner.
TheForkUserExcellent cuisine served on terrace along a pedestrian street just behind the port of La Flotte. The server and chef mingled and joked with the patrons. A really friendly atmosphere and top-notch dishes. We had no room for dessert, but the red wine from Nîmes was a pleasant surprise and we saved dessert for an ice-cream at La Martinière in St.Martin-de-Ré which is not far away. Be prepared to park away from the port and walk down to the restaurant but it is a lovely tree-lined avenue with ample angle-parking or small lots facing the ocean boardwalk. Just a really lovely experience all-around ☺️
TheForkUserThe brick decoration of the restaurant did not fit with the general frame (cruise/boat decoration) It could have been better.
