TheForkUserFantastic restaurant with beautiful decor, great service and excellent food. Strictly for meat lovers though as there is a display case holding meat - which makes for a stunning visual feature but not for vegetarians ! This restaurant is a real gem and I would highly recommend it.

TheForkUserCured meats and cheese were sublime. Really really nice. Same thing for the fillet with local handpicked porcini mushrooms. A little disappointed with the dessert, which was clearly made with passion and love but was a bit old, hard and tasteless.

TheForkUserMy dinner at HLB was a wonderful conclusion to a month-long visit to Italy. The last portion of my trip I was solo, so I always experience a little apprehension over that. At HLB, staff welcomed me and provided courteous and attentive service. Because I was in Milan, I opted for Risotto alla Milanese and it did not disappoint. The rice was done perfectly al dente (which I can’t seem to replicate at home) and the saffron flavor delicious. That was followed by an expertly cooked, and tender, sliced entrecôte steak. Mouthwatering! My meal was accompanied by a half bottle of hearty red wine (several were available to pick from), to compliment a very satisfying meal. Grazie mille!

TheForkUserI selected this restaurant because I wanted to eat some red meat after spending two weeks at the ligurian coast. It didn't dissapoint.My meat was excellent and well prepared. The rosemary potatoes were crispy and flavorful and my tiramisu was just prepared after I ordered. Our server was friendly, patient with our bad Italian and the prices were more than fair.I truly recommend this place.

TheForkUserthe tasting menu is nice, however it takes a long time. then first time ever that a glass of wine by the glass was 18 eur! especially disappointed as wine pairing was 35 i think for 3 glasses. also compared to other restaurants that are on the Michelin guide the coffee, water and coperto are high. 4 eur for an espresso, 6 cooerto and 5 for water. The food was nice, though previous time we visited it was better.
