Grilled fish was great. Tempura platter with local veggies was fresh. Quick lunch spot, got my order in under 10 minutes. Perfect for a fast bite.

The tatami seating was clean and comfy. I got the miso ramen. It was tasty, but the portion felt a bit small for the price. I was still hungry after.

The Baumkuchen is moist and firm, not too sweet. The original flavor is spot on, just melts in your mouth. Had it on the deck with a coffee, that was nice.

Loved the vibe here after a day in Chichibu. Those huge windows let in all the light, and the playlist was spot on. My matcha latte was just the right kind of creamy. A really nice spot to just sit and recharge.

The staff were so kind. Noticed them helping a family with the tablet menu, patiently explaining each step. It felt warm, like they genuinely cared. Made the whole lunch feel a bit nicer.

The sausage omelet was fluffy and just melted in your mouth. First time trying a popover, crispy outside and hollow inside, interesting texture.

Nice spot by the river for a quick coffee. Got a seat on the terrace, service was fast. Perfect for a short break. The view is relaxing.

The Karuizawa Roll with blueberries is interesting. Light sponge, cream, and that flaky filling. It's not too sweet, which I like. A good choice for a simple dessert.

The terrace is so peaceful, surrounded by trees. We went on a mild afternoon and it was just lovely. Perfect spot to relax with a coffee.

The thick toast was a highlight. Served warm with a nice texture. Place is relaxed, good for a quick business lunch. Service was efficient.

Parking is easy here with a big lot, which is nice since it's a bit out of the way. The main reason to come is the uni pasta—so fresh and creamy, totally worth the drive.

This cafe is inside a really old building in the woods. The whole place just feels so quiet and calm. I sat by the window for a long time, just watching the trees. It was exactly the kind of peaceful spot I needed.

Had their tofu lunch set. Really clean flavors, easy on the stomach. The owner suggested a local sake that paired nicely with the silky tofu. Nice chat too. A good reset after a few indulgent days.

The sweet and sour pork at this restaurant is a must-try! It's perfectly balanced in flavor and pairs wonderfully with rice.

Cozy spot, and the wine list was a nice surprise.

A solid lunch spot in Kusatsu. The grilled mackerel set was cooked just right, not dry at all. Portion was decent for the price. Service was quick, got my order in under 15 minutes.

Portions are huge, even the regular size. Got the katsu curry for a quick lunch. The cutlet was crispy, sauce was thick and flavorful. More than enough for a big appetite. Good for a fast, filling meal.

A cute little shop with a cafe in the back. I tried their signature rusk with my coffee—it was so crunchy and buttery, a perfect little treat. Picked up a box to take home too.

The private rooms in this izakaya provide a relaxing atmosphere, making it perfect for gatherings with friends or family.
