What travelers say:
A more authentic British-style Malaysian restaurant. The cakes there are very good, frozen, with thick cream. The coffee ice cream tea is great. The Malaysian roast chicken rice is very cost-effective.

This is a local cuisine and western pastry restaurant located in Pavilion Shopping Mall in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The restaurant is small and the decoration is simple and comfortable. The menu is a little expensive, but the taste and quality are good.
The restaurant is elegant and comfortable, especially suitable for friends or family gatherings. The service staff is friendly and responsive, making people feel at home. The taste is really great! The spices are just right and the taste is rich. Although the price is a bit high, it is worth it considering the location and quality.
Always great. Good food, reasonable price, comfortable seats, good service. If you don't know what to eat, Serai is always the best choice for local Malay taste or Western if you don't feel like having local. Highly recommend nasi kerabu and banana fritter. Be it tourists, local or business lunch, this place can cater for all types. Like!
Situated at the Dining Loft Pavilion, it's a beautiful Malaysian dining with some Chinese dishes on the menu as well. Nice decoration and the staff is helpful. Service is superfast. We got our drinks and meals with 10 minutes after order. Food's tasty and looks beautiful, I have encountered a very restaurants where the food on the plate looks exactly like the food on the menu, Serai is one of them. Good job, garnishing the food. Taste, pretty good and the bill will hit you pretty hard on your pockets, not to mention 1.Bukit Bintang 2.Pavilion 3.Dining Loft, you should know it before you enter. 4 mains, no sides, 3 drinks and a glass of warm water cut us straight RM 180..pheww!!
The menu straddles both East and West, and at times fusing both together. I dropped by for lunch twice during my 4 day stay in KL because it was that good! I stuck to the more Malaysian Serai Platter and Serai Iced Tea on day and Nasi Kerabu and Iced Milk Tea the other. A friend joined me one day and he had the Beef Rendang Pasta which I tried too. Everything look and tasted delicious! To make things better, the staff were very warm, friendly, and enthusiastic in their service. Even during peak lunch hour, if they were busy, they would signal a colleague to help out so you get service as soon as possible. The casual and modern interiors were also comfortable to be in. Despite paying much more for local cuisine which could be way cheaper in a street food setting, I was satisfied and felt it was worth my money.
