Cameron Highlands in Pahang, Malaysia is definitely a niche destination. Located on a plateau with a cool climate, the entire Cameron Highlands is a tea planting base. Cameron Valley Tae House is a place right on the roadside, a great place to drink tea, sell tea and sightsee. It feels good to make a pot of tea here in the afternoon and feel the leisurely time in Cameron.

Ferm Nyonya, this restaurant also specializes in Chinese cuisine, which is a Chaoshan delicacy. We ordered the braised pork rice, which was topped with a whole layer of meat, and it tasted so delicious.

Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands, Malaysia Mood: Cozy, refreshed, and full of strawberry tea

If Malaysia has a breathing space, this is it. After the relentless energy and heat of Kuala Lumpur, arriving in the Cameron Highlands feels like stepping into a different country, or perhaps a different century. The air is the first thing you notice it’s crisp, clean, and carries a permanent, refreshing chill that nips at your ears. It’s a welcome shiver.

We started early, the mist still clinging to the peaks like stray cotton wool. Our first stop was the BOH Tea Plantation at Sungai Palas. The drive up itself is an adventure, a narrow, winding road that snakes through impossibly green hills. And then you see it. The view from the top is nothing short of breathtaking. Endless rows of tea bushes, trimmed into perfect, undulating curves, flow over the hills like a textured green carpet. It’s a mesmerizing, almost hypnotic sight.

Recently explore the nature at Cameron Valley Tea House to heal my mind, admires the panoramic view at a glance and unwind at the cafe, it's such an ideal place for weekend getaways!
Aside of having good quality tea/desserts with cozy and tranquil atmosphere, exploring the tea valley by a walk pass at RM4 or buggy ride at RM15 for was truly memorable. I personally love this plantation as you can get near to the tea plants and have a up close view while enjoying some cool breeze under the blazing sun.
Operating hours: Monday - Friday from 8.30am to 10pm, Saturday & Sunday from 8am to 10pm.

Visiting a tea plantation is one of the most relaxing and enjoxable I like to do in Cameron Highlands. There are several tea plantations is available and open to public, and one of them is Cameron Valley Tea House 2.

I like this tea plantation because it is located on the main road at Tanah Rata; therefore, it is easy to access. Having a cup of hot tea with desert or local snacks is the best thing to do, especially in cold weather with overlooking the beautiful tea valley. It is a magnificent view.

After having tea, with a small fee as a ticket entrance, visitors can go down to the tea plantation to walk around and take the picture. This tea plantation has a shop selling varieties of tea products and local snacks.

As soon as I arrived, I was struck by the scenery — rows of tea plants stretching across the hills like green waves. The tea house itself is cozy and inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating. I recommend sitting on the terrace if the weather's nice — the breeze and view are unbeatable.

Tried to be cute in a sweater but ended up looking like a walking bao.
Also, who knew the mist could photobomb every picture? Now I have 47 photos of… fog. Just fog. ☁️📸

10/10 would return just for the steamboat and that feeling of pretending I live in a Korean drama for 48 hours

THE SISTER PLANTATION TO BHARAT TEA IN TANAH RATA, CAMERON VALLEY'S SECOND TEA ESTATE IS LOCATED ALONG THE MAIN ROAD BETWEEN TRINGKAP AND KAMPUNG RAJA, ABOUT 7KM NORTH OF KEA FARM IN BRINCHANG. NESTLED ALONG A STEEP VALLEY, THE PLANTATION IS DRAPED AROUND HILLS THAT OVERLOOK THE VILLAGE OF KUALA TERLA. OPEN DAILY FROM 9AM TILL 6PM, ENTRANCE IS FREE INCLUDING BUSH WALKS AROUND THE ESTATE.

FROM THE ENTRANCE, A TEA HOUSE PROVIDES A ONE-STOP CENTER FOR VISITORS TO PURCHASE CAMERON VALLEY TEA PRODUCTS AND A CAFE WITH SPACIOUS ROOFTOP DECK THAT OVERLOOKS THE TEA FIELDS. A RECENT ATTRACTION IS A SAFARI RIDE THAT FERRIES PASSENGERS ON 4WD VEHICLES AROUND THE HILLS, CULMINATING AT A PEAK WITH OBSERVATION PLATFORM TO SOAK IN THE VIEW. ATV-RIDING ACTIVITIES ARE ALSO OFFERED.

It doesn’t really matter if you’re a coffee or a tea person, you’ll love this place. From the lookout you’ll see the amazing tea valley and smell the freshness that they exhibit. You can have a walk around the valley or the flower garden nearby to even awake your senses to beauty and freshness
