The food was pretty good. the prawn cocktail sauce was rather watery but the prawns were fine. The serving of pate was very generous but the bread was like concrete. I think it had started life as a sourdough baguette, been re-warmed then allowed to go cold.We were very pleased with the main course being served with separate dishes of potatoes and vegetables so you could choose what you wanted and how much.Our table all had the salmon which was lovely. We were a party of 17 but had confirmed attendance. We weren’t expecting to wait so long especially with kids in our group. The team did bring some cheeky taster sandwiches keep our munchkins from hanger. When it came… the afternoon tea was truly delicious.
