TheForkUserLocanda del Duca is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu showcases the best of Umbrian cuisine, with every dish crafted to perfection using fresh, local ingredients. The pasta was divine, the meats tender and flavorful, and the desserts simply heavenly. The wine list is impressive, featuring excellent local selections. Service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The cozy ambiance, combined with the outstanding food, made this one of the best meals we’ve had in Italy. Highly recommend for an authentic and memorable dining experience!
TheForkUserExcellent food, from local sources. Would go back anytime, service was also very attentive
TheForkUserWe’ve spent 3 days in Umbria and had some lovely meals and good wine… but this is the best we have had so far. Chef Stephano, who speaks good enough English and fluent French, went out of his way to explain everything to us. For an area that is short of fish dishes he had tuna and amberjack on his menus. We had a great meal, good wine and he spent time explaining everything to us. If you’re in the area, this restaurant is a must!!!
TheForkUserBrilliant food, modern Italian dishes with a twist, attentive and knowledgeable service
TheForkUserBeautiful presentation of food. Some menu items not available and ramen were cheap packaged noodles but the chef did excellent with the fusion of flavors with the ingredients she had. I would love to go back to try other items on the menu because there are few restaurants of this kind.
TheForkUserI really recommend the meat dishes. The staff were very friendly and fast.
TheForkUserWe really enjoyed our dinner at Medi. We concentrated on their seafood offerings and were not disappointed. The tartar appetizer was excellent. The crab risotto was perfect. Our main courses: tuna with red onions and a whole orata (sea bream) were also really good. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. Overall, a great first experience with this restaurant.
TheForkUserFantastic food, the pasta dish was a personal highlight, as well as my partner's main course. The local wine accompanied the food perfectly. Also the waitress serving us was outstanding, being extremely attentive, affable and professional. We are booked in again for Tuesday, it is that good.
TheForkUserThe atmosphere and surroundings add another level to the exquisite meal.
TheForkUserExcellent service. Meal timing was spaced well; not too fast, not too slow. Food was tasty and nicely presented. We had lunch on a Sunday and the atmosphere was upbeat and fun, with several families dining together.
TheForkUserGreat service, incredible burger and the best fries I’ve ever eaten!

The menu highlights the best of Umbrian cuisine, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients and expertly crafted dishes. From the rich pasta to the perfectly cooked meats, every bite was a delight. The wine selection is impressive, showcasing regional wines that pair beautifully with the food. Whether dining inside or on the lovely terrace, the experience is unforgettable. TheForkUserOur dining experience far surpassed 5 stars! The staff were helpful, friendly and provided exceptional recommendations for our dining experience. The wine selection was exquisite. Thank you Gus’ staff for such an incredible experience!
TheForkUserThis was only my second visit / pilgrimage to La Lanterna as I don’t live in Umbria. So I chose the same 3 dishes to see whether I had imagined the quality and taste experienced during my first visit. I HAD NOT! It was just as wonderful. And all the other customers were Italian which is always a good sign. And thank you Claudio and Paola for your lovely warm welcome. See you very soon!
TheForkUserThe view, the atmosphere, the food and the hospitality are at an exceptional level. Perfect combination with a visit to Fossombrone. Highly recommendable

TheForkUserGreat restaurant. We got there early so we had the place to ourselves but it was filling up as we left so booking definitely advisable.
