Tucked away in a quiet little square, this place has that proper cellar feel — low lighting, stone walls, the lot. Cozy without trying too hard. We sat near the back and it was easy to forget you were in the middle of the city. Not a huge space, but that’s part of the charm. Just mind the steps on the way down if you’re not watching your feet.

Friendly staff and the pub had a proper buzz about it. Beef and mushroom pie was homemade, really decent. Prices fair for what you got.

Stopped in for a drink, ended up staying for dinner. Nachos were decent, chicken wings were actually pretty good too. Place has that old historical vibe which is nice. But honestly, the portion sizes felt a bit small for what you pay. I get it, you're paying for the atmosphere, but I left still a bit hungry. Fine for a quick bite, not for a proper feed.

Found this spot on the Michelin guide. Trout was spot on, well seasoned. Manager sorted us out nicely, proper service. Decent for a quick bite if you're in the area.

Been coming here for years, still just as tasty. They even threw in extra sauce once, love that for us. 😄

Cocktails were solid, that Spicy Cucumber one had a proper kick to it. Gabi looked after us well, friendly without hovering. Place had a good buzz about it.

The Guinness here is seriously good—creamy, proper pour, one of the better pints I've had in Dublin. It's a proper local's pub, nothing fancy, just a bit rough around the edges. Gets packed though, like shoulder-to-shoulder at the bar, but that's kind of the charm. I'd go back just for the pint, honestly.

The BBQ pork and nachos were the real deal, proper comfort food. We grabbed a nice bottle of red to go with it, which worked a treat. Service was sound, though the place was a bit mad busy.

Tomato mussels were unreal, steak cooked perfectly too. Service felt proper fancy but not stuffy. Pricey enough but class for a treat 🍷

The staff sorted out my big phone order really quickly, even though the place was packed. They were polite the whole way through, which I appreciated. Nice to see service like that when you're in a rush. Made the whole thing a lot less stressful than I expected.

Food came fast and portions were generous. Got the chicken burger and it was properly fresh, not soggy at all. Solid spot for a quick bite.

The set menu here is honestly the reason I’d come back. Everything tasted fresh, not heavy or overdone. I had the fish option and it was cooked just right, with veg that still had a bit of crunch. Portion size was decent for the price too. Service was fine, nothing to complain about.

The lamb shank was properly falling off the bone. Good portion for the price. Worth stopping in if you're passing through Beechwood.

The Pollo Funghi pasta was proper comfort food, creamy and well-seasoned. Decent portion for the price too. Just mind yourself around the area after dark, it gets a bit sketchy.

Came back three times during our stay. Karl and the team were spot on. Irish stew and fish and chips were solid, but the stout bread was the real winner. Lively spot, decent value for the area.

Came for the live music, stayed longer than I planned. Band was decent and the pints were flowing nicely. Proper old-school pub feel, crowd was friendly enough. Got a bit loud near the bar but that's on us for standing there. Fine spot for a few drinks if you're in the area.

Stopped in while waiting for the Dart, ended up staying way longer than I meant to. Staff were sound, even watched my bag while I ducked out for a quick call. Coffee was decent, did the job. Place has a good buzz to it, easy to lose track of time. Handy spot if you're passing through.

The bruschetta was the highlight—tomatoes were actually ripe, bread nicely toasted. Diavolo pizza had a proper kick to it too. Service sorted out a small mix-up with our starter and threw in a limoncello, which was a nice touch.

The salmon with mash and veg in white sauce was spot on—proper comfort food, well-seasoned. Easily the best meal I've had in a while.

The garlic potatoes with truffle mayo were the real highlight—proper comfort food. Pizza was decent too, though nothing mind-blowing. Service kept things moving, which I appreciated.

The Sunday lunch menu is honestly such good value. I got the hake with Greek-style sides and it was spot on, really fresh. Chocolate mousse for dessert was the highlight though. Service was grand, but the 10% service charge caught me off guard a bit. Still, I’d go back for that mousse alone.

Cozy spot with a proper traditional feel — loved that you could see into the kitchen through the pass-through window. It looked spotless the whole time, which honestly made me trust the place more. Didn’t try anything too adventurous, but the vibe alone would bring me back. Maybe next time I’ll go for the full Irish breakfast.

The wings were class, really well done. Just wish they had a blue cheese dip on the side, that would've made them perfect. Fish and chips was decent too.
