Been coming here on and off for a while now. The beef ragu pasta is still as good as the first time I tried it. Portions are decent and the price is fair for what you get, especially for a place with that kind of recognition. Service was fine, nothing to complain about. Just wish they had a bit more space between tables, gets a little tight when it&#39;s busy.

The lighting in here is really something&mdash;warm and dim without being annoyingly dark. I could actually read the menu without squinting. Sat near the back corner and it felt properly tucked away from the street noise. Mulled wine was solid, not too sweet. Short ribs on mac and cheese were decent, though the portion was almost too much for me. Prices seemed fair for what you get.

Waitress knew the specials inside out, helped me pick something I wouldn&#39;t have tried otherwise. Food took a while to come out, but it wasn&#39;t a rushed kind of place, so I didn&#39;t mind.

The pork knuckle was solid&mdash;crispy skin, tender meat. Portion&rsquo;s big enough for two, maybe three. Live music made it feel less formal, more like a proper Maltese evening. Snails were decent too.

Had the poached eggs with rucola for breakfast &mdash; honestly one of the better ones I&#39;ve had in a while. Portion was decent for the price, which surprised me. Sat outside and watched people walk by, no rush at all. Just wish the coffee came out hotter, but not a dealbreaker.

Still the best kebab on the island after all these years. Quick service, same great taste every time. Grabbed one on my lunch break and was in and out in ten minutes.
