The secret of sushi making is all in the "shari". The owner of Isshinzushi collects the freshest ingredients from all over Japan. The rice is shipped from Sado Island in Niigata and cooked in a special secret pumpkin soup that brings out the aroma of the rice. It's great. If you are in Miyazaki, you really have to try this restaurant. I'm surprised that this restaurant doesn't have a Michelin star.

This place is famous because it is the origin of Chicken Nanban, which is the number one food in Miyazaki. It tastes like sweet and sour chicken, but better. The chicken is juicy and tender, yet crispy on the outside. It is topped with the original gravy, which is like a source of deliciousness. You must try this dish when you visit Miyazaki, and this place does it best.

A conveyor belt sushi restaurant near the Aeon mall, the staff here speak limited English but an English menu is available. The cheap dishes are more delicious and worth the money.

We had a lovely meal here. The restaurant was full when we arrived so we had to wait and the waitress seemed a little overwhelmed, but the food was good and great value for money!

The restaurant is located inside the station, on the station, show your entry ticket to one of the friendly staff and they will make sure you are in and out promptly. Local fish is caught and sold fresh at the market. So is the G&T that comes with the lunch deal.
