Of course, you go to eat the food - which is faultless by the way and has been at Michelin standard for both occasions I have visited in the past 10 days - but the service cannot honestly be bettered. The waiters are attentive to an empty glass, a finished plate (and you will finish your plate) and a white wine that needs a little more chilling. They exceed what you would expect in every way. Most of all, I like the ambience at Remigio. It's a place with a touch of class, with proper table settings, crisp table cloths and wooden panelling around the walls. It's the right 'size' for a restaurant too - strange thing to say maybe - but there must be a perfect size for a restaurant and this is it! I think Remigio is well worth a visit, all the more so if you want the very highest quality of food and wine this region of Spain can offer.Parador Nacional Calahorra

TheForkUserLovely dinner and convenient location.Lovely menu of regional and typical Spanish cuisine, cooked really well , Lovely couple of Sefardies inspire dishes too to put a additional interesting note to the menu. I tried an stuffed aubergine Sefardies inspire dishes and a baby lamb chops with potatoes and red peppers, really, really nice food and the vegetables to die for!!! 118***47The tapas here are the best I've had in Alfaro. My husband and I came here for several days in a row. It's 20 euros per person and we can eat very well. Their snails taste good. Mirador de las Cigüeñas is one minute away from this tavern. You can go into the tavern to have a cup of coffee and rest when you are tired of shopping. I don't know much about the average consumption per person. It's the same as a cafe. A cup of coffee is just over 2 euros. Every time my husband and I come here, we only spend 30 euros for two people.Meson Julian
