The bottomless brunch is such a good deal for catching up with mates. The cocktails kept coming and were actually really nice. Food was decent and came out super fast, which is perfect when you're chatting and don't want a big wait.

Always come here before the Newcastle game. The vibe is spot on, and the staff are lovely. Even on quiet days, it's nice for a pint and a bite. The menu's got loads to choose from, which is a bonus.

A proper local pub with loads of character. It's not fancy, but that's the charm. Found a comfy corner seat and settled in for a quiet pint. The seating is really well thought out, makes it easy to relax.

Lovely spot right on the seafront. Had a decent lunch here on a sunny afternoon, the view of the beach was really nice. Food was pretty good, though the service was a little slow.

We enjoyed a lovely meal at The Black Swan. We shared calamari and halloumi starters, along with a delicious soup which came with two huge pieces of crusty bread. It was 2-4-1 on pizzas and they were absolutely delicious with a range of original toppings. My son had the steak and ale pie and it was absolutely packed with steak. My daughter went for the Cajun chicken burger and really enjoyed it. We were too full to manage a dessert but the children both went for cheesecake - it was Biscoff and they loved it! We will definitely be back next time we’re in Alnwick.

Really liked the old-school, no-fuss feel in here. Good jukebox, and they had a decent selection of ciders. Just a simple, welcoming spot.

Carly really made our birthday surprise before the flight. The table was decorated with banners and they brought out a little cake. It was a lovely personal touch that turned a long wait into something nice.

The view from the terrace is just lovely, right on the water. They even had a water bowl out for dogs, which was a thoughtful touch. A very peaceful spot for a quiet drink.

Liked the choice of seating areas, some spots are much quieter than others. Service was quick on a weekday afternoon.

Nice spot with a balcony and pool table. The drinks selection is good, and it's a relaxed place to unwind.

Love the live rock here. Caught a great tribute band last Friday. The vibe is always buzzing when there's music on. Perfect for a quick, fun night out.

Popped in for a Sunday roast. The veggie sides were the real star – roasted carrots with some kind of honey glaze and a really good cauliflower cheese. Properly hearty, left me stuffed!

The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the atmosphere even more enjoyable. Rachel was especially attentive and made us feel right at home.

No. 3 of Bars in Newcastle upon Tyne

Had my 21st here. The bar staff were brilliant, really went above and beyond. The venue itself was fantastic for the party.

Just a casual stop. The building itself is the main draw—old, full of character, not fancy at all. That's the charm. Had a pint and just enjoyed the vibe for a bit.

The power sockets at each table are a lifesaver! My friends and I could actually hang out for hours without our phones dying. Made catching up over coffee so much easier. The free Wi-Fi is a nice bonus too.

The staff here are so lovely! They were chatting with us while we waited for our drinks, really made the night. Good vibe and a decent pool table too. Perfect for a casual catch-up with friends.

Loved the grungy beer garden, it's got a proper alternative vibe. The space feels unique and fits the place perfectly. Just a heads up, the seating is a bit basic but that's part of the charm. A solid spot for a casual pint.

Talia and Keiron were so helpful. They explained the specials clearly and didn't rush us at all. The service really made a difference.

Managed to snag an outside table on a sunny afternoon. Staff were good, left us alone to enjoy. Drinks are always spot-on here, never a miss. A solid local spot for that.

The food here is exceptional, especially the Sunday dinner, which is fresh and very tasty. The friendly staff ensure a great dining experience.

The drinks are reasonably priced, and the variety of rooms with different atmospheres makes it a unique spot to visit.
