Tried the Asian gnocchi with aubergine and seaweed — pretty unusual combo but it worked. Nice spot to sit outside by the church.

The upstairs seating has this beautiful soft light and a view over the whole café. Lovely spot to just sit with a cappuccino and apple cake. ☕

Dropped by for dinner with a couple of friends and honestly the duck was the highlight 🦆. Menu’s pretty big so we took forever deciding but no regrets. Portions are decently sized, we left super full. It’s not the cheapest spot but for a fun night out it worked. Place got a bit loud later though, so maybe go early if you want to chat easily.

Sat outside by the water, perfect for just watching people go by. Had the saté and burrata salad, both were solid. Service was quick too, no complaints there. Maybe a bit pricey for what it is, but the vibe made up for it. Nice spot to unwind.

The staff actually checked the ingredients for vegan options without me even asking twice. That was nice. Food came out decent, nothing crazy but the service made it easy to relax. Place was a bit busy but not too loud. I'd probably come back if I'm in the area again.

The burger and apple pie were pretty good, staff friendly too. Place had a decent vibe, nothing fancy but fine for a casual stop.

Cozy little place, friendly staff. The banana pie was the real highlight—felt properly homemade. Would've liked a better wine list to match, but the vibe made up for it.

The vegan Turkish pizza was honestly one of the best things I've eaten in the Netherlands. Burger was solid too. Would come back to Alkmaar just for that.

The pizza was excellent, and the beer selection was good too. The place has a cool vibe, and the service was fast and pleasant. A great spot for a casual meal.

Stopped by for the three-course menu. Portions are decent for the price, that's for sure. Place is small but clean, easy to just sit and chat for a while. Had a cocktail too, it was alright. Service was a bit slow but they were busy. Fine for a casual night out if you're not in a hurry.

The chocolate ice cream here is really good—rich but not too sweet. Place is a bit hidden, took me a minute to find it, but worth the walk.

Had a nice lunch here, food was fresh and cooked properly. Staff checked in just enough, not too pushy. Easy to find right by the station.

The crispy chicken sandwich was decent, and the ginger tea with real ginger chunks surprised me. Terrace seating’s a nice bonus.

Stopped by for dinner and liked the retro vibe. Main course was solid, really well done. Service was on point too. Only thing — music was a bit loud for me, but not a dealbreaker. Wouldn't mind coming back if I'm in the area again.

The burger was big and tasted good. Parking's a pain but whatever. Beach view from the table is decent.

People are really nice, it’s a lovely restaurant, the service is fast and the meat is delicious! Thank you!

The overall taste was superb, though we felt that the variety of ingredients in the vegetarian dishes could be enhanced. We opted for the 5-course vegetarian menu and found that several courses had quite similar flavor profiles. Each dish, however, was beautifully presented and well-explained by the staff, which we appreciated. One minor detail was that red wine glasses were used to serve white wine, and we noticed the same glassware being used for red wine at the neighboring table. We visited for lunch and enjoyed the lovely sunshine and serene waterfront view, though as the day progressed, the sunlight became quite bright at our table.A lovely touch was the complimentary bottle of champagne as a birthday gift—thank you for this thoughtful gesture and for creating such a memorable experience for us.

Great spot for a hearty meal in Almere! The spare ribs were super tender and came with plenty of sides. Got a bit busy later, so booking ahead is smart. Good for a casual catch-up with friends.

The truffle pizza with the unusual toppings was the standout. Light base, cooked properly. Staff stayed friendly even when it got busy.

Food was lovely and the friendly atmosphere was very welcoming. The owner advised on the food and the wine. An excellent evening and the Chablis was particularly enjoyable.

Solid spot for a quick bite. The smash burger was juicy and well-seasoned, portion sizes felt right for the price. Service was fast even with a line.

Pizza was solid, crust had a good chew to it. Location's easy to get to, right in the neighborhood. Service kept it simple, no fuss. Place was a bit busy when I dropped by, but that's a good sign I guess. Fine for a quick bite if you're nearby.

We had a great dinner. The waiter was fun and professional. He offered a digestive that was amazing, and actually I would love to know the name, It was an almond digestive..?!

Decent spot with a proper old-school feel. Beer list is solid and the food won't break the bank. Staff gave some good recommendations. Interior's a bit dated but that's part of the charm.

I highly recommend this place for lunch! The menu features a variety of local dishes, and everything we tried was delicious.

The tzatziki here is thick and creamy, really tastes like proper Greek yogurt. Lamb was cooked nicely too. They even gave us a little Ouzo shot at the end, which was a sweet touch.

Great spot on the main square, right across from the Stadhuis. Bitterballen were crispy and the honey mustard dip was solid. Bit busy but fine for a quick stop.

The view alone is worth stopping here. Duck and sweet potato fries were solid, though the salmon came out dry. Service was friendly but a bit slow. A glass of wine with that scenery makes up for a lot.

Chicken wings had real good flavor, just a bit small for the price. Fries were solid. Fine spot if you need a quick bite late at night. Nothing fancy, but it hit the spot.

Staff was lovely, even with our dog. Food was solid, nothing crazy, but the vibe was cozy. Decent spot in Otterlo.
