Cozy spot, good for a relaxed evening. The lighting was a bit bright for my taste, could be dimmer to match the vibe. Still, a nice place to unwind.

The lunch special was a solid deal. The grilled salmon had a nice crisp skin, and the waitress was quick with refills. Good spot for a casual family meal.

The breakfast set is a solid deal, and the Earl Grey paired really well with the ham and egg sandwich.

The kinako cream daifuku was a nice surprise. Not too sweet, and the texture was just right—soft mochi with a creamy filling. A really pleasant little treat to end the meal.

The chef-owner does it all, which is really cool to see. Just be ready to wait a bit while he works his magic!

The mitarashi dango are famous for a reason, but I really enjoyed the ohagi with kinako. The bean flavor was natural and not too sweet. The staff was very friendly and helped me choose. A comfortable spot for a quiet treat.

I really liked the old-school vibe of this place. Grabbing a freshly fried snack and eating it standing right outside the shop was a nice, simple pleasure. The staff were friendly and didn't rush me at all.

Palme d'Or is known for its artistic French dishes and excellent service. It's a bit on the pricier side, but the quality of the food and the dining experience make it worth it.

The jumbo fried shrimp here is my go-to for a quick lunch. Perfectly crispy, not greasy at all. Just a simple, satisfying bite with a view of the highway. Gets me back to work fast.

Ordering on the tablet was super easy, and the menu was in English too. I got the spicy tuna donburi—the fish was really fresh and the portion was just right. Made the whole lunch super smooth.

The lunch set was so generous, I couldn't even try the desserts! 😅 Will definitely save room for them next time in Nara.

Great spot for lunch after Nara Park. The dipping sauce guide was helpful, and the chilled beer hit the spot.

The atmosphere is so calming, perfect for a quiet dinner. I had the grilled salmon, and the staff suggested a lovely white wine that paired beautifully with it. A bit on the pricier side, but the service was spot-on.

The old house setting is lovely. But the real star was the vegetables. The local greens in the small dishes had such a clean, fresh taste. You could tell they were just picked.

Restaurant in NIPPONIA HOTEL Igaueno Castle Town

It has the obvious feel of a chain restaurant but the staff is great and the food is good. Close to the train station and the sites of Nara. A family-friendly place but not the place to go to if you want to experience the dives.

The staff's English was a lifesaver for ordering! Made my quick lunch near Nara Park so much easier.

The rice flour bread was so soft and light. And the chocolate cheesecake? Just the right amount of rich. My server was very kind and patient while I decided. A comfortable spot for a quiet, unhurried meal.

Got here just after noon on a Saturday, no wait at all. Perfect for a quick lunch. Ordered the ramen, came out fast. Good portion for the price. Place got packed right after I sat down, so timing is key.
