Came for chile en nogada season and theirs was solid—looked great, tasted even better. Just wish the aguas frescas were bigger for the price. 😕

Service was on point, food came out hot and well-seasoned. Portion sizes were solid for the price. Nothing fancy, but it hit the spot for a casual dinner. I'd swing by again if I'm in the area and want something reliable.

The tacochango here is legit—that deep-fried jalapeño stuffed with shrimp has a nice kick without overpowering the fish. I grabbed a mezcal cocktail to go with it, which cut through the richness pretty well. Just wish they'd offered a lighter beer option on the menu. The chipotle cream and coleslaw on the side are essential though.

The pork tacos here are really good, and you can tell the owner knows what they're doing. The macchiato was solid too. I'd skip the desserts though, the soups are a better choice.

Solid spot for grilled meats and pizza. Prices are fair and the meat's always cooked right. Service was friendly too. Good enough for a casual bite when you don't feel like cooking.

The grilled fish was fresh, no question. Got the whole one with garlic and it came out fast—like, barely had time to look at the menu fast. Price felt fair for what you get. Place was a bit loud but I didn't care, I was hungry. Solid spot if you just want to eat and go.

Stopped by for breakfast and grabbed the divorciados. Pretty solid, the red and green sauces actually had some kick. Portions are big, I couldn't finish mine. Place was busy but not chaotic. Service was chill, no rush. Maybe a bit pricey for what it is, but I'd come back if I'm in the area.

The chiles rellenos were really good, fresh and not too greasy. Romeritos were a bit sweet for me, but that's just my taste. Portions are generous, though prices feel a little high for what you get.

Came for the chicken soup and steak tartare — both hit the spot. Draft beer was cold and cheap. Place is a little tight but that’s part of the charm. Definitely coming back. 🍺

The set menu for two is a solid deal—three courses and you can mix and match with your partner. Wine list is small but fine. Place feels chill, nothing fancy. Good spot if you're not in a rush.

The tuna taco and the bacon one were honestly the best things I tried. Pricier than street spots but you can tell where the money goes.

Tacos de cocina con queso and frijoles charros were solid. Charcoal grill adds a nice touch. Just bring cash, no card accepted.

The set menu here is the way to go if you're hungry. Got to try a bunch of different things without breaking the bank. Portions are seriously big, I couldn't finish everything. A glass of their house red paired well with the grilled meat, nothing fancy but did the job. Place was busy but we got a table quick. Solid spot for a casual feed.

Solid spot for a proper meal. Grilled steak over coal was cooked right, nice char on the outside. Portions are serious—we all left with doggy bags. Only thing: they brought the mains before the pizza, which threw off the order a bit. Not a dealbreaker, just a heads up if you're going with a group.

The sushi cake really stood out—fresh fish, nice presentation, and honestly a steal compared to what you'd pay in Manhattan. I paired it with a crisp white wine and it worked perfectly. Place was busy but the quality held up. Would come back just for that dish.

The pasta here is always fresh, you can tell it's made daily. Place is tiny though, got packed by 7pm. Still, worth squeezing in for that carbonara.

The atmosphere is super relaxed, and the service is incredibly friendly and attentive. If you visit, ask for Andy S. as your server for an excellent experience.

The food at Asai Japanese Restaurant is outstanding, with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients that truly capture the essence of Japanese cuisine. Highly recommended!

The food is flavorful and well-prepared, and the restaurant has a great wine list to complement the dishes, making it a fantastic choice for a special occasion.
