The restaurant's environment is simple and comfortable, the flavors are authentic, the portions are generous, and the waiters are efficient.
It's a nice view on the Keizersgracht, whether on the terrace or inside with the large windows. The menu variety of seafood, steaks, and burgers gives something for every one. Pleasant service. Interesting variety of the full lobster. But found the lobster to be "just okay". We also experienced a kind of hygiene issue, where one of the napkins on the table had chewing gum; not ours.
Great atmosphere, great food and friendly service. We had scallops and camembert as appetizers and confit duck as the main course. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend!
Had eaten in Red on a previous visit to Amsterdam and returned because we had enjoyed it so much. It didn’t disappoint. Food, service and staff were all top class.
The food was above expectations! The meat was very well done, but especially the 'side dish' of grilled vegetables was delicious. It was grilled in their oven, the aubergine had the perfect Middle Eastern smoke taste and they even added goat cheese. The mocktail was tasty and different. The creme brulee was nice and creamy. Only thing I would recommend for the owners: put real flowers in the vases on the tables and have the ceiling light dimmed.
