Booked ahead for a Friday evening, which was definitely needed. It was packed but they handled the crowd smoothly. Our server was on it, even when things got hectic. No complaints about the service at all.

Breakfast spot. Poached eggs with haggis and chili jam were a real treat. Service was fine, but had to wait a bit for water. Quick seating though.

Truffle fries were tasty, but the portion felt a bit small for the price. I noticed they use blue cheese instead of mozzarella on some dishes, which is a different choice.

Great location, just a few minutes from Waverley. The owner was lovely, really welcoming. Had to get the starter salad - fresh, crisp leaves with a sharp vinaigrette. A simple dish done well.

The staff here are so friendly and remember what I usually order. That personal touch really makes a difference.

The seafood platter was the highlight. The trout pastrami had a lovely cure, and the dressed crab was spot on. Oysters were fresh and briny, just right. A solid choice for sharing.

Lovely spot tucked away on a quiet street, easy to find. The colourful interior is so cheerful! I really appreciated the focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients in their salads. The greens tasted like they were picked that morning. A very pleasant lunch.

The live music was a nice touch. We were planning a quick dinner but ended up staying for an extra hour. Good atmosphere for a business catch-up.

Stopped in for the vegan fish and chips. The jackfruit and nori combo actually works, and the portion is huge. Skinny fries were spot on, really crispy. Solid choice if you're in the area.

The baristas here clearly know their craft. Latte art is consistently well-executed, and the coffee itself is reliably good. A solid choice for a business meeting or a quick, quality caffeine fix.

Popped in for a quick bite. That Christmas special roll was a proper treat – square sausage, hash brown, and a spicy-sweet cranberry jam. Really hit the spot. Staff were lovely, but yeah, it's a squeeze to find a seat.

Such a nice change from the usual dark pub vibe! The space is so bright and colourful, it just feels really welcoming. The staff were super friendly too.

The pulled mushroom chili was really good, and I appreciated that the staff asked about allergies before we ordered. Nice spot.

The staff are so friendly, it really makes a difference. I always get the Scottish breakfast, the tattie scones are the best part. Just a lovely, comfortable place to eat.

Decent spot for a pint. The split-level layout is nice, makes it feel bigger inside than it looks. Comfortable seating by the window for people-watching. The main area is fine too, though it can get a bit loud when busy.

The pea soup was really good, thick and warming. Nice to know it's a Robert Burns thing, and the place has been around forever. Just a solid, classic pub vibe.

Fish and chips for a quick lunch. Fish was crispy, chips were decent. Got my order in under 10 minutes, which is what I needed. Good spot for a fast bite.

The portions are generous for the price. Had the lamb curry, the meat was tender and the sauce had a real depth of flavour. Felt like a proper, filling meal without breaking the bank.

Been coming here for years. The beer garden out back is always the perfect spot to unwind.

The fire was crackling just right, and the whole place felt so snug. Staff were lovely, didn't rush us at all. Exactly what you want on a cold night.

Stumbled upon this spot. The garlic chili chicken masala is my go-to, whether I'm eating in or grabbing it to go. It's always spot on. A solid find.

Been coming here for years. The staff know their stuff and are always friendly. The sharing platter was juicy and came out quickly, which is what you want on a busy Friday night. No complaints.

Great spot for a quick lunch. They're dog-friendly with water bowls and treats, which is a nice touch.
