Stopped in for lunch with the family. The kids' meal was a good size, and we shared a couple of dishes. Service from Julie was efficient and helpful, which made handling a toddler much easier. Solid spot for a straightforward family meal.

Tried the award-winning spot across town last week, but honestly, this place holds up. The lamb shank was just as good, maybe even better. A proper local find.

Solid chicken pie, quality ingredients. The sourdough was warm and good. Service was efficient, got the bill quickly when we were done. Convenient for a quick business lunch near the office.

The pancakes were fluffy and the fruit topping tasted so fresh. I really appreciated the birthday candle, it was a thoughtful touch. The ingredients here always feel high quality, which is important to me. A lovely spot for a relaxed breakfast.

Pollo Lemon was spot on, really fresh and zesty. Staff were super friendly, the place is spotless. Just a bit on the pricier side for what it was.

The Panch-Mel Dal and the lamb passanda were spot on. Really good flavour and the lamb was so tender. A definite step up from your average curry house.

Good variety on the menu, our whole table was happy. Food came out fast and tasted proper. It’s got more character than your average chain place.

Popped in for the carvery lunch. The roast potatoes were spot on, crispy outside and fluffy inside. Yorkshire puddings were proper too, just like my nan used to make. Really hit the spot on a drizzly day.

The chips are the main event here. Huge, golden, and crisp on the outside with a fluffy, steamy centre. They're the kind you can't stop eating. The portion is generous, too. A solid plate of chips.

The poppadoms come with this pickle tray and onion mix. It's a great start. Really fresh, and the onion mix had a nice kick to it.

Been coming here for years, and they’ve always been cool with us bringing in a takeaway. It’s a simple thing, but it makes the place feel like a proper local spot. After a long walk, it’s just what you need.

Stopped in for a quick breakfast. The full English was solid - eggs were runny just how I like them, and the sausages had a nice snap. Good spot if you’ve got a dog with you.

Their churros are so good! Perfectly crispy outside, soft inside. We shared a plate with chocolate dip and ice cream, just the right sweet treat to end a fun catch-up with friends.

Nice spot. Clean, stylish. Had the rib eye with peppercorn sauce. That was the thing. Staff were polite.

The Mad Hatter theme is so well done. Spent ages just looking at all the little details in the decor, it's really creative. A fun place to be.

The beef rendang was the star. Slow-cooked for hours, the meat just fell apart. Rich coconut and spice paste had soaked right through. Could have used a bit more heat for my taste, but the depth of flavour was spot on. That's what I came for.

Nice local spot. The view is great, but the portion sizes could be a bit more generous for the price.

Stopped in for a quick bite and my car battery gave out right in the lot. A delivery driver for the restaurant spotted me struggling and came over with jumper cables. Really saved the day.

Been coming here for years. The fish and chips are always solid. Crispy batter, fresh fish. The curry sauce is a nice touch, makes it a bit different.

The Heat Wave pizza was so good! Perfect amount of jalapeños for a kick, and the crust was just right. Great spot to grab a bite with mates before heading out.

They do gluten-free fish on Tuesdays, which is a nice touch. Mine was massive, honestly huge. Really tasty. A proper treat for a change.

Been coming here for years and the omelette is always spot on. Just the right amount of fluffy, never greasy. That's why I keep coming back.

Jacob and Natalie were so nice to our big group. Jacob at the bar remembered what we liked to drink, and Natalie checked on us without being pushy. Just felt really looked after.

Been coming here for years. The food's always hot when it arrives, straight from the kitchen you can see. That's the main thing for me, never lets you down.

Been back two nights in a row for the half lot with peas. The fish fritters are a real winner. The place itself is just right for a casual solo dinner, nothing too fancy.
