Easy parking. Farm shop&#39;s well stocked. Butchers know their stuff. Got some fresh cut bacon and a granary loaf. That combo was the highlight. Simple but spot on.

The fruit crumble with custard was lovely. Such a cozy spot, and I really liked that most things are vegan.

The eggs Benedict were creamy, eggs poached just right. Hash browns were huge and soaked up all the hollandaise nicely. Food came out quick after we got our drinks. Solid breakfast spot.

Brandon was a real pro. He knew the wine list inside out, suggested a fantastic pairing for my steak that I wouldn&#39;t have picked myself. Made a simple dinner feel a bit more considered.

A proper local pub, no frills. The beer is kept well, which is the main thing. Had a decent pint of bitter. It&rsquo;s a friendly spot for a quiet drink.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. The fish finger sandwich was spot on, and the homemade chips were proper crispy. The garlic bread was a whole baguette for a fiver, which is decent.

This is the jewel in the Wetherspoon&rsquo;s crown. If you don&rsquo;t know about Wetherspoon&rsquo;s pubs, restaurants and hotels, they are budget friendly,  no frills establishments many in repurposed banks, shops, high street offices etc. This offering in Exeter is a little different though. The setting, in quite extensive well maintained gardens, is a large old house that used to belong in turn to various professional people. The building has been remodelled and added to over the years. The spectacular cast iron orangery where you can dine from breakfast to dinner time was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the Great Western Railways chief engineer in Victorian times. It was originally part of the main building of Exeter university but was moved here many years ago. Food was up to the usual standard at Wetherspoons and served on the distinctive crockery which was specially designed for the company. My youngest daughter and I ate here several times over a three day trip to view the university. We ate both breakfast and dinner here. I thoroughly recommend having at least a drink or preferably something to eat here if you are in Exeter.☕️ A tip is that your tea, coffee or hot chocolate is bottomless and at the time of writing was only 1.81 GBP per cup.

Cozy place, the decor is really nice. We got the sharing platter to start, then the red Thai curry. Curry had a good depth of flavour, not too sweet. Staff were very attentive, made us feel welcome. A solid spot for a relaxed dinner.

Came for a group dinner. Ryan and the team were really helpful, made sure we were comfortable. The live music was a nice touch, not too loud. Food was good, no complaints there. A relaxed evening.

The salmon tikka was the highlight. Good smoky flavour from the tandoor, cooked just right. A solid choice if you&#39;re in the area.

The pub has a great historic feel, really adds to the experience. Sat by the old fireplace with a pint of their Abbot Ale, which was spot on. Just a nice, relaxed place for a drink.

Been grabbing a cappuccino and a sandwich here before my train for years. Coffee&#39;s always solid, strong without being bitter. The sandwich is decent, does the job. It&#39;s just reliable.

Decent spot on the industrial estate. The classic cafe vibe is clean, no fuss. Had the full English breakfast. Portion was generous for the price, honestly couldn&#39;t finish it all. Good, solid food.

Steak was decent for the price, and the unlimited chips were a nice bonus. 👍

As a coeliac, I&#39;m always a bit wary. But they had a decent GF menu. Got the pizza, it was actually good. Everything clearly labelled with allergen stickers, which helps a lot.

Loved the mint tea here, so refreshing. The view over the square is a proper bonus. Owners were dead friendly. Food was spot on, though the portions were a tad small for the price.

The Sunday roast here is solid. Beef was tender, Yorkshire pudding spot on. Service was efficient, got us in and out in good time for a train. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for in this area.
