I come here quite often, and it's always reliable. The booths are really comfortable, which makes a difference when you're settling in for a meal. It's my go-to spot around here.

The private room is stunning, and the team helped us pick a wine list that really worked with our menu. A great spot for a special gathering.

Got the free doughballs deal on their app. They were warm and garlicky, a nice start. The app's worth downloading just for that, helps keep the bill down.

Convenient canoe parking right by the river was a nice touch. The whole riverside setting just felt so relaxed and peaceful while we ate.

Popped in on a Tuesday night with a couple of friends. The staff were so lovely - they pointed out a few dishes we'd totally have missed. Made for a really fun, relaxed catch-up. The vibe was just right for a low-key group hangout.

Wandered in for a late lunch. The gluten-free menu was huge, which is a relief. Staff knew their stuff when I asked about cross-contamination. Had the fish and chips, felt normal for once.

Lovely old-school pub feel. They’ve got a good range of ales on tap. My dog was very welcome, which is a nice touch. The fish and chips were decent, though the chips could have been a bit crisper.

The staff were so nice, even though we arrived just before closing! Made our late-night catch-up feel really welcoming.

Popped in for a casual bite and a pint. The steak and ale pie was spot on, proper flaky pastry and a rich, meaty filling. Good selection of ales too. Just a solid, no-fuss pub meal with the game on in the background.

Popped in for a quiet breakfast. Their coffee was spot on, which is a big deal for me. The staff were lovely with my toddler, too.

The chicken quesadilla on the Tuesday 50% off deal was the standout. The chicken was properly seasoned and juicy, the cheese had a good pull, and the tortilla was crisp without being greasy. Solid portion for the price.

Been coming here for years, and the heated patio is the main reason. Even on chilly evenings, you can sit outside comfortably and watch the city go by. It's just a consistently good spot to unwind.

Cosy little spot tucked away in the arcade. Perfect for a quiet break in the middle of town. Had the chicken katsu curry - the sauce was rich and the cutlet was really crisp. Just a bit of a wait for the food, but it was worth it.

The tuna tartare was lovely, but the dressing was a bit heavy for my taste.

The cocktails are a show in themselves, but the menu leans heavily into the theatrical. I'd have liked to see a classic martini or an old fashioned listed alongside them. Sometimes you just want a straightforward, well-made drink to pair with your meal.

Been ordering from here for years, and it's always reliable. The chicken tikka masala is spot on every single time. Just a solid, no-fuss takeout choice.

Popped in before my train. The BFC pizza was spot on, thin crust and all. Becky sorted me a nice drink to go with it. Quick service, which was exactly what I needed.

Came with a big group, staff handled it well. Food was hot when it arrived for everyone, which was nice. They even brought out a birthday cake without us asking.

Got two mystery sundaes delivered. The surprise flavours were spot on - one had a great salted caramel ripple. Always solid service when we've visited in person.

Spontaneous stop while passing through. The bar staff were friendly and efficient. Sat by the fireplace, which was a nice touch on a cold day. Portions were generous for under £10 a meal. Good, straightforward pub food.

Food arrived piping hot, generous portions. Service was impressively efficient even with big groups.

The veg pie was pretty good, and the chicken skewer came out hot and fresh. The fries were decent. The service was friendly, though the décor is a bit quirky for my taste. A nice spot for a relaxed meal.

Been coming here for years. The pizza's always solid - good crust, not too greasy. The place itself is cosy, feels like a proper local spot. Staff are friendly without being over the top.

Food was really nice, looked great on the plate. Had the gluten-free pasta, which was a solid choice. A bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for here.

Jordan and Dan were on it. Explained the allergy stuff clearly, double-checked everything. Felt looked after.

Been coming here for a while now. The loaded fries with pulled pork are my go-to. Always hits the spot, and you definitely don't leave hungry. That's why I keep coming back.

Great spot for a quick lunch. The tapas were tasty, came out fast. Staff were really friendly, even made some nice mocktails for us. Perfect for a speedy bite.

It was packed and pretty loud, but we snagged a spot at the bar while waiting. The bartender was really friendly and made the time fly.

The staff here are so warm and welcoming. They remembered my name from a previous visit, which was a lovely touch. It's rare to find that kind of genuine, personal attention these days.

100/100 for food, environment and services.Surprisingly good. We have read the review before come, portions looks small. Turnout portion is big and taste good. Love my freshly made fish and chips.Quiet and relaxing place.
