Since she couldn’t eat pork due to her religion, the waiter changed for her to the other dish even her carbonara was served (but of course not eaten yet). The waiter was very nice, gentle and helpful.

On arrival we were met by a warm and friendly lady got the evening going by guiding us down to the restaurant and the waiting staff who led us through the evening with great skill but friendliness as well. The food and drink were so far beyond what I was expecting that I’m not sure how we can go any better. 10/10 doesn’t do the place justice

One couple walked away when told they couldn't have a table. It's a real pity as the food was good in very generous portions and all the staff were very welcoming. Some of the background music was pretty dire as well.

TheForkUserWe saw this place and booked before we arrived in Carcassonne. The food was all home cooked to perfection. The waitress was helpful and friendly and atmosphere wonderful. I had steak and my husband pork. The food was simple, very reasonably priced and ice cream pudding delicious.We would highly recommend La Taverne Modern.


