TheForkUserMy go to cafe in Toulouse (curry starved in Deep South of France). Food is always great and service impeccable. My fourth visit, and not my last.
TheForkUserFriendly family-run restaurant with an original menu of really fresh and tasty dishes - good value. Highly recommended.
TheForkUserDecent quality of food. Service to be improved : we had the impress they were in a hurry for us to finishing the meal .
TheForkUserVery friendly staff! Especially our waitress from Ethiopia. Good pizza and salads.?Sppreciated the Forks 50% discount!
TheForkUserThis was actually the best food we had in Montpellier, perfect home cooking. No joke- we had a superb meal in Ripailles the previous night, which is outstanding- go there too- but the cooking by Sabah somehow had the edge. It’s a short hike from the centre: 18 minutes from the Marché aux Fleurs, into a residential neighbourhood. Once you get there it looks like the kind of local, tourist-free restaurant you dream of frequenting when you finally actually move here. The total absence of alcohol was, briefly, a shock, but then it turns out you don’t need wine to appreciate the superb cooking, and a night off the Pic St Loup really does make you feel more joie de vivre the next day. Iced tea (peach flavoured) is a great accompaniment to the richest foie gras with french toast and fig compote, and washes down souris d’agneau (lamb shank roasted in honey and thyme?) wonderfully. Great sides included- best chips outside Brussels, or creamy risotto rice. Altogether fabulous!
TheForkUserI recently had lunch at La Vie en Rose, the restaurant located within the Radisson Blu Hotel in Blagnac. Overall, the experience was pleasant, with several notable aspects.Upon arrival, the welcome was warm and inviting. The staff were attentive and ensured that we felt comfortable, which set a positive tone for the meal. The dining area is well-designed and suitable for business lunches. The ambiance is professional yet relaxed, making it an ideal setting for both formal discussions and casual meetings. The cuisine was good, with each dish prepared with care. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was appealing. However, while the meal was enjoyable, it did not stand out as exceptional. In conclusion, La Vie en Rose at the Radisson Blu in Blagnac offers a pleasant dining experience with good service, a nice atmosphere, and well-prepared food. It is a reliable choice for a business lunch in Blagnac.
TheForkUserWe enjoyed eating in this very small restaurant, on a quiet street, away from the Capitole Square hustle and bustle. The chef/proprietor was friendly and helpful. The menu is limited but the execution of the truffade - (potato and cheese skillet) was excellent and reasonably priced. I would recommend you give this place a try.
TheForkUserGreat food if somewhat confusing service. We think they did not put our order through as the tables around us, who ordered after us, were served well before us! However, once we were served it was all delicious and worth the wait. The cassoulet was very good indeed as was the bouquet of vegetables entrée with tapenade. Alas, we had no room for a dessert which looked very tempting on adjacent tables, especially the Valrhona chocolate finger. An apology for the very delayed service would have been nice but we didn’t complain as the waiter and waitress were very pleasant.
TheForkUserIt was a shame that I wasn’t aware of the building works being completed before I booked. It was my birthday and I wanted to go somewhere special.
TheForkUserWarm welcome in a charming hotel-restaurant. Staff was correct and friendly. Restaurant itself was comfortable but not special in decoration or cosyness. The food is absolutely good and delightful but classic. Duo of foie gras de canard, partly in Cahors wine, very nice! Lamb, tournedos Rossini, cheese from the region, an 'honest' kitchen. Wines in every budget. This restaurant fits exactly in the hotel formula and its guests. Good decent food and service for a reasonable price.
TheForkUserThe food was not seasoned properly for me and the crunchy stuff was stale. Overall, just okay with a frown.
TheForkUserWe had a lovely meal outside on a cool Friday evening. Service was very friendly and helpful (waiter was great in helping us choose a Languedoc wine which complimented our three meals). We three chose to just have a plat and not an entrée, and this wasn't frowned upon. We all enjoyed our dishes -- beautifully presented and equally delicious-- and then shared a special chocolate dessert that was worth waiting for (as stated in the menu). Will definitely return!
TheForkUserUnavailable dishes only notified after ordering - not too many in, but initial service still slow. Having said that the food was very good !
TheForkUserWonderful burrata and great pizza. Friendly service and high quality/price ratio. Bravi!
TheForkUserNice restaurant with good food. We were a bit disappointed concerning the wine list as well as the selection of the accompanying wines - so close to the Cahors appellation, we would have expected a better selection of Cahors wines accompanying our five courses.
_TI***l8The service at this restaurant is impeccable, and the sunset view is simply breathtaking. The straciatella and tomato caviar starter was a highlight of our meal!
TheForkUserOur dinner was superb. The starter was perfectly done asparagus salad without the poached egg as I requested. The main course was melt in your mouth white fish filet. And the strawberry lemon meringue creme was the most delicious dessert I have ever eaten. Chef Joffrey Morgallet and staff Léa and Robin provided incredible service and a meal to remember. The champagne from Pascal Cez was like a dream also. Thank you to the entire team!
TheForkUserNice authentic food from the region. Very friendly hostess. The prices are also very friendly ????The wine was good, it was a nice evening at a good place!
TheForkUserLovely respite from long drive thanks to the welcoming staff and delicious food. We will be back!
TheForkUserA lovely meal - extremely filling (two courses ample!!) well cooked and presented; with attentive and welcoming service. If around that area of Montpellier worth the trip to avoid the tourist trap restaurants in the city
TheForkUserWe were part of a group tour staying in West Nimes at a hotel with predefined dinners. I didn't want lasagna (!), I wanted French food. So we walked over to this little place for dinner. My daughter ordered a cheeseburger. While they said she couldn't specify how it was cooked (e.g. medium rare) it was a perfect medium, pink in the middle. My spouse ordered the duck. It was the best duck I've ever tasted, not greasy yet tender and juicy. And while the skin was not crispy because of the sauce, it was not fatty. I ordered the grilled beef. I have no idea what cut of meat it was (undefinable shape), but it was tender enough. I really liked their Charmelcia sauce which is on all their meats. It went well with my beef and the duck. The salad was the same we seemed to get everywhere - just lettuce, with a very mild dressing. I didn't translate that the fries are bottomless; the portion they gave us was plenty for the three of us. For dessert, I ordered the Ananas chantilly (ou fraises). I didn't bother to translate what it was; I thought it was bananas or strawberries (even though I know the word is "bananes"). She said they didn't have strawberries (not in season in late June?) so I had the pineapple. I would have preferred bananes, but it was refreshing. Our server was pleasant and efficient. She didn't speak much English (which I enjoyed) but with my limited French and hand gestures, we communicated just fine. My family was glad I found this place, to have an authentic French dinner. And you can't beat the "Formule Unique" fixed meal price of $15.90 Euros!
TheForkUserThe restaurant did not look amazing from the outside and there were only a few diners when we arrived. However it exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious and beautiful presented. The staff and manager could not have been more welcoming and we throughly enjoyed the evening. It was the best meal of our trip to Provence.
TheForkUserVery polite service, nice food. Not the best sushi of my life but very nice sashimi. They kindly replaced the sushi. Clean and cosy. Will return to test a diffrrent sushi.
