TheForkUserAnother winner discovered thanks to TheFork (this is becoming a nightly habit!). Tremendous value-for-money with more than fair prices matched with large portions. But large portions by themselves means little if the cuisine was not good. Happily, not the case here. Wonderful, homestyle-like cooking, friendly attentive service and a great, satisfying, filling meal.

Great for families, inexpensive and servings to satisfy the biggest eaters. The owner actively involved with every guest party. A French proprietor fascinated by Italian cuisine. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

TheForkUserThe sole waiter was engaging friendly and a bit frazzled but managed the front of the house well. The food was outstanding. My favorite meal after two weeks in Aix. The entrees and mains were imaginative but not overly fussy and memorable. I was a bit apprehensive about the stuffed cabbage but was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was.

I particularly enjoyed the courgette flowers entrée, my daughter loved the prawn and risotto main course, and my son loved his chocolate desert. Friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend.

Turns out it was better than expected. very generous portion, full of seafood. a tad on the salty side but still within acceptable margins

Michel and William put a lot of effort into preparing the food and it shows. I enjoy the patio setting but the weather was not cooperating so we sat inside. Still very enjoyable.

Unfortunately both of the items were gone from the menu at the restaurant. We 0rdered the sliced beef on arugula, and although tasty, the meat was a bit tough in spots. But overall, a nice re staurant.

TheForkUserAnother lovely meal at Le Jess. I ordered the cheeseburger, it was delicious. My husband ordered the steak tartare, 3 large piles of it arrived. He said it was delicious too. When both enjoyed a bottle of rose wine and sparkling water. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Will recommend a visit if you’re in the area.


