Proper English breakfast spot! The black pudding was a highlight. Staff were really nice when we had a tiny mix-up with our order.

Love the vibe in this old industrial space! Met friends here for a casual catch-up and it just worked. The high ceilings and brick walls gave us such a cool backdrop for our chats and photos. Felt like we were hanging out somewhere special without it being stuffy.

Found this place while out in Heswall. Been back a few times now. Food is always solid, and they get it out quick. Perfect for a reliable lunch.

The food here is consistently delicious, and the staff are always helpful and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant dining experience every time.

The veggie menu is a full page, which is great. I got the mushroom curry, asked for it mild and it still had loads of flavour. Portion was decent for the price, left feeling pretty satisfied.

The tapas portions are generous, which I appreciate. The ingredients taste fresh, especially the grilled vegetables. A solid choice for a light, healthy meal.

The tandoori chicken was so fragrant, it filled the whole light dining area. That smell alone made the visit. The pie was lovely too, just a proper comforting bite.

The Sunday roast was lovely, really fresh ingredients. The conservatory is such a nice spot to sit, very light and airy with a great view. Service was friendly and made the whole thing feel very relaxed.

Loved the rustic decor here. Felt like stepping back in time, totally matched Chester’s vibe. Really set the mood for dinner.

The staff were so thoughtful about my son's peanut allergy. They double-checked everything, even the sauces. Made us feel really looked after. A bit of a wait for the table, but that care meant a lot.

Been coming here for years. The lava plate ribeye is always spot on, never overcooked.

Lovely spot by the river for a family lunch. The food was solid, good local produce and fair prices. A nice step up from the usual pub grub. Their wine list had a few interesting local bottles that paired well with the fish.

Stumbled upon this place while in town. The food had that proper homemade feel, and the pub itself was cosy, just like a country local. A nice find.

Modern place. Chicken tikka masala was spot on, honestly. Just like the good ones. Prices are fair.

Quick lunch spot. Got the chicken wrap, came out fast. Good portion for the price. Nice to sit outside for a bit. Simple and does the job.

Stopped in to get out of the rain. The steak was cooked just right, and the staff were really on it. Didn't expect much, but it was a solid meal.

A nice family-friendly spot. The kids' menu had some tasty choices, which made ordering easy. Service was polite and attentive, though it got a bit busy later on. A comfortable place for a relaxed meal.

Popped in for a slice of their homemade carrot cake. It was honestly so good, moist and not too sweet. The tea was a proper brew too, loose leaf in a pot. Just what I needed.

Portions are generous here, which is nice. Had the full English breakfast and the VA salad. The salad was fresh, but I do wish they had a more interesting wine selection to pair with it. A simple house red would have been fine.

The pizzas were spot on, and the warm brownies after were a treat. Sat outside near the Winter Gardens, which was lovely.

Helpful that all the draft drinks are clearly labelled vegan. Menu's concise, but the mushroom arancini was a solid choice. Good for a quick, no-fuss meal.

Great spot to catch the game! The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming. I noticed they have a good selection of fresh, crisp salads on the menu, which was a nice surprise for a pub. The ingredients looked really vibrant. I'll be back for that.

The vegan tikka masala was the highlight for me. Really enjoyed it.

The Elf evening was such a fun idea. The themed snacks were a cute touch, really matched the film's vibe. A nice way to spend a Tuesday.

Popped in before a gig at the O2 Academy. The spanakopita was spot on – really crispy pastry. Kebabs were good too. Glad we booked a table, it was getting busy.

Came here with my mates for a catch-up and it was spot on. The halloumi fries were so good we ordered a second plate! Music was a fun mix, not too loud so we could actually chat. A solid spot for a group.

The lamb shank was the highlight. Slow-cooked for hours, it fell apart with a fork. The gravy had a deep, rich flavour that went perfectly with the mash. Could have used a bit more seasoning on the meat itself, but the texture was spot on.

The QR ordering is handy. Got a few things from different stalls without leaving the table. Everything came out pretty quickly. The pad thai was decent, though the portion felt a bit small for the price.

The self-serve wine wall is a neat idea. Tried a few small pours of different reds, which was fun. Staff gave a quick tip on one I was curious about. Nice, low-key spot for a casual drink.

The chateaubriand is their signature. Ordered it for a business dinner. Cooked exactly as requested, good seasoning. Served two of us comfortably. Price point is fair for the cut.
