The cocktails here are properly made&mdash;not too sweet, good balance. Had the grilled fish too, went well with a glass of white. Place gets a bit loud later in the evening, but still a solid pick.

The grilled fish was the highlight &mdash; fresh, properly charred, and they actually brought out the raw fish first to show before cooking. Nice touch, that. Prices run a bit steep, but the portion made up for it. I had a glass of sauvignon blanc alongside, worked surprisingly well with the smokiness. Would come back for that dish alone.

The fish and chips were solid&mdash;crispy batter, proper mushy peas, malt vinegar on the table. Best I&rsquo;ve had outside the UK or Australia. Portion was decent for the price too.
