The duck spring rolls were lovely, and the triple cheese and onion pie was just right for a cosy meal. The booths are so comfortable, which really makes a difference when you're settling in. A nice, relaxed spot.

Staff were really friendly, offered me a drink while I waited for my takeaway. Nice busy vibe in there.

Been coming here for years. It's a proper old-school curry house, no frills. The lamb rogan josh is packed with flavour. They've got a decent house red that actually works with the spices, which is a nice touch.

We opted for the taster menu. The ingredients in each course felt so fresh and thoughtfully combined. A lovely, balanced meal. The staff were very quick, though the pacing between dishes felt a touch rushed for me.

The lamb nihari was rich and tender, just the thing for a chilly evening. Paired it with a robust red from their surprisingly decent list. The garlic naan is a must for scooping it all up. A solid spot when you're craving that kind of comfort.

Food comes out steaming hot because they cook it fresh right at the counter. You can really taste that freshness. Portions are decent for what you pay, which I always appreciate. Makes for a solid, no-fuss lunch.

Lovely quiet lunch here. The windows let in so much light, felt very cozy. Service was good, gave me space to enjoy my book. A nice spot for a solo meal.

The steak was cooked just right, really juicy. But what I loved was the space itself—high ceilings and those big windows let in so much light, made the whole lunch feel really relaxed. A nice spot.

Staff very friendly from the moment we went into the bar area. Service great, very informative, just a lovely relaxed vibe. Restaurant staff all very friendly and attentive. Menu excellent, served in good time, tasty well presented. Will definitely recommend and we will go back again, soon. Good experience.

Popped into the Arndale Market for lunch and tried this place. Watching them make the food fresh right there was really cool. Everything tasted super fresh because of it. Got a bit busy at the counter, but the wait wasn't long.

Been here a few times now. The slow-roasted pulled lamb is the one to get, really tender and flavourful. The burgers are decent too, but the lamb is the standout.

Been coming here for years, and it's the staff that keep me coming back. They remember my usual order, always have a quick chat. Makes it feel like a proper local, even on busy Friday nights. The darts board is a nice bonus, but honestly, it's the friendly faces that make it.

Perfect spot to unwind after shopping. The steak & ale pie was so filling, great for sharing with a friend.

Steak and eggs for brunch hit the spot. The steak was cooked just right, seasoned well. It’s a simple dish, but they nailed it. Portion felt a bit on the smaller side for the price, though.

The butter chicken rice bowl was spot on. Onion bhajis were super crispy too.

A proper pub with a lot of character. The coal fire makes it wonderfully cosy on a cold day. The staff are friendly and the seating is comfortable, which makes for a very relaxed visit.

Been coming here for years, the hake is always spot on. That sauce they do with it is a bit different, really nice. Just wish they'd change up the sides sometimes, gets a bit samey.

The keg ales and pizza are pretty good here, definitely decent quality. It is a bit pricey for the drinks, but I don't mind paying for something done well. A nice spot for a casual evening.

The afternoon tea was lovely. I really enjoyed the setting. The scones were fresh and light, which was nice. I just wish there had been a couple more savory finger sandwiches on the tier. A bit more balance for a proper tea.

Came for the first time and loved the riverside spot. So much outdoor space to enjoy the view. It does get packed though, had to wait a bit even with a booking.

Live music on weekends is a nice touch. It adds to the ambience without being too loud for conversation. Good for a relaxed business dinner.

Cool old building, nice terrace. Had the pasta special, it was good but a bit pricey. Solid spot for a casual dinner.

Love this place for a casual catch-up. The vibe is so relaxed, perfect for a chilled evening with friends. We had a couple of the house cocktails and just talked for hours. It's a bit dim inside, but that just adds to the cosy feel.

Popped in for a quick breakfast after an appointment nearby. The full English was decent, but honestly, for £12.50, I expected a bit more on the plate. Just felt a little light for the price.

The bar has a great selection of beers, some really nice European ones. I had the pork scratchings with mine – a perfect little snack. The stools at the bar are quite high though, not the most comfortable for a longer sit.

The service was exceptional, the food was a very high standard and served on hot plates which most other restaurants fail to realise is the key to keeping the food warm

We had a brilliant time at the bottomless brunch! The cocktails were creative and the food was spot on. The service from Megan and Ash was friendly and efficient, making it a delightful experience.
