Salazar Bakery

Been coming here for years. Their hopia mongo with salted egg is the one I always get. Just the right amount of sweet, and the crust is flaky, not thick and doughy. It's the best in the area.

Visited on a quiet weekday morning. I really appreciated the freshness of the tikoy. The texture was just right, not overly heavy. The buchi had a nice, warm red bean filling. A good option for a lighter treat. The staff was pleasant.

The line is long but the old-school vibe is worth it. Prices are still so reasonable.
