A renowned steakhouse offering a dual sensory feast with ocean views

A Chinese restaurant located in Shangri-La. We had lunch there before checking in.
[Environment] The decoration is still very exquisite, red Chinese style. There is a large round table in the private room.

We ordered a plate of XO sauce fried rice, which was too spicy for the kids. After we made suggestions, we got a plate of egg fried rice for free, which was worth the 10% service charge.

The dinner buffet offers a good selection of dishes, and while the price is a bit on the higher side, the quality of the food makes it worth it.

Despite some mixed reviews, I found the food to be on par with average Japanese standards. The beef bowl and soy sauce ramen were particularly tasty, and the service was efficient.

Living in Shangri-La, it is really far from the city center. Anyway, I only stayed for one night, so I chose the closest one. Opposite the St. Regis, Shangri-La is a 10-minute walk.

I can&#39;t help but complain about the Philippines. 10 years ago, I paid in cash when I went to Boracay, and now in 2020, the stores are still mainly cash-based. It made me withdraw cash twice during this trip!
I didn&#39;t order any special oxtail soup, just these four dishes, which were average, and one meal was enough! The only thing that impressed me was that the coconut was so big.

I ordered coconut risotto, shrimp, and a few other dishes, and they were all delicious. I initially thought the shrimp was marinated in olive oil, but it turned out they were marinated in a very spicy tomato sauce.

The buffet dinner at Cowrie Cove was a delightful experience, featuring a variety of freshly grilled items and a cultural dance presentation that added a festive touch to the evening.

Cowrie Cove offers a stunning ocean view, making it a perfect spot for a romantic dinner. The ambiance is peaceful and elegant, enhancing the overall dining experience.

I had the seafood platter at Cowrie Cove, and it was absolutely delicious! The freshness of the seafood really stood out, and the presentation was impressive.

Food was amazing and view was to die for!
However, service needed much attention. Went This was an al fresco dining on the beach and it was so humid yet nothing was done to take care of this. Factoring all, I’m torn between treating it a good experience (good and ambience) and downright disappointing (service and temperature). To add salt to the wound, we highly recommended this place but with what went down, I reckon this would ever be considered again for a good place to eat. I mean more than a hour waiting time before you can finally eat is just to much.

이번 세부 여행은 성인 3인 가족이 함께 다녀온 3박 4일 일정이었는데, 기대했던 것보다 훨씬 만족도가 높았던 여행이었어요.  

휴양뿐 아니라 시티투어, 고래상어 투어, 가와산 캐녀닝, 골드 호핑투어까지 세부에서 할 수 있는 대표적인 일정들을 직접 경험하면서 정말 알차게 보내고 온 느낌이었더라구요 😊  

숙소는 레디슨 블루 세부를 이용했는데, 위치도 괜찮고 전체적으로 편하게 지낼 수 있어서 선택하길 잘했다는 생각이 들었어요.


Day 1 | 세부 도착 후 시티투어와 쇼핑몰 🛍️

도착 후 호텔 체크인을 하고 바로 시내 구경을 나갔어요.  
KKD Stk + Bbq에서 첫 식사를 했는데, 약 1,500페소 정도로 성인 3명이 먹기에도 충분했고 여행 첫 식사로 만족스러운 곳이었어요.

이후 산 페드로 요새, 산토 니뇨 성당, 마젤란의 십자가를 둘러보며 세부 시내 분위기를 느껴봤어요. 휴양지만 생각했던 세부에 이런 역사적인 장소들도 있어서 더 매력적으로 느껴졌던 것 같아요.

저녁에는 SM City Mall에 들러 쇼핑과 식사를 하면서 여유롭게 첫날을 마무리했어요. 쇼핑몰 규모도 크고 볼거리도 많아서 여행 중 한 번쯤 방문하기 괜찮은 곳이었어요.


Day 2 | 새벽 2시 픽업, 고래상어와 캐녀닝까지 🐋

이 날은 정말 오래 기억에 남을 것 같은 하루였어요.  
새벽 2시에 호텔에서 픽업을 받아 오슬롭으로 이동했는데, 아직 어두운 시간에 출발하다 보니 여행하는 느낌이 제대로 들더라구요.

전날과 전전날 태풍으로 투어가 중단되었다가 다시 오픈된 날이라 사람이 많았고, 패스트트랙을 이용했음에도 약 1시간 정도 기다렸어요. 그래도 직접 눈앞에서 고래상어를 보는 순간, 기다린 시간이 아깝지 않을 정도로 정말 인상적이었어요.

오슬롭, 투말록 폭포, 가와산 캐녀닝이 포함된 로컬 페이지 단독 투어는 성인 3인 기준 약 28,400페소 정도였는데, 가이드가 1:1로 계속 케어해줘서 안전하게 체험할 수 있었고 특히 캐녀닝은 이번 여행에서 가장 기억에 남는 경험 중 하나였어요 🌿

새벽부터 시작해서 밤 9시에 세부 시티로 돌아왔는데, 힘들긴 했지만 그만큼 만족도가 높은 하루였던 것 같아요.


Day 3 | 호핑투어, 마사지, 그리고 완벽했던 하루 🌊

아침에는 호텔 룸서비스(약 700페소)로 여유롭게 시작했어요. 객실에서 편하게 식사하면서 준비할 수 있어서 좋았더라구요.

이후 골드 호핑투어를 진행했는데, 성인 3인 기준 약 10,000페소 정도였고 힐루뚱안 섬에서 스노클링을 하며 세부 바다를 제대로 느낄 수 있었어요. 바다 색감이 정말 예뻐서 왜 세부가 유명한지 직접 체감할 수 있었던 시간이었어요.

호핑투어 후에는 씨엘로 마사지샵에서 마사지를 받았는데, 성인 3인 기준 약 3,000페소 정도였고 여행 중 쌓인 피로가 풀리는 느낌이라 정말 만족스러웠어요 💆♂️

저녁은 샹그릴라 막탄 리조트 앤 스파 내 레스토랑에서 식사를 했는데, 약 9,500페소 정도였고 분위기와 음식, 서비스까지 모두 좋아서 여행 마지막 밤을 보내기에 딱 좋은 시간이었어요 ✨


Day 4 | 벌써 끝났다는 게 아쉬웠던 마지막 날

체크아웃 후 공항으로 이동하면서 여행을 마무리했어요.  
3박 4일이라는 시간이 생각보다 훨씬 짧게 느껴졌고, 전체적으로 정말 만족스러운 여행이었어요.


🏨 호텔 후기 | 레디슨 블루 세부

약 39만원 정도로 예약했는데, 호텔 규모나 시설, 서비스까지 생각하면 가격 대비 만족도가 높은 호텔이었어요. 보안요원이 항상 상주하고 있어서 안전하다는 느낌이 들었고, 직원들도 친절해서 편하게 머물 수 있었어요. 룸 컨디션도 깔끔하고 쾌적해서 여행 중 머물기 좋은 숙소였어요.

고래상어 투어, 캐녀닝, 호핑투어까지 모두 경험할 수 있어서 정말 만족스러운 여행이었어요.  
휴양과 액티비티를 모두 즐기고 싶은 분들이나 가족 여행으로 세부를 고려하시는 분들께 추천드리고 싶은 여행이었어요 😊
