The spicy beef noodles were the real deal. Properly chewy noodles, a rich broth with a good kick, and tender beef. The spring roll was crispy, not greasy. For under £8, that's a solid lunch.

Loved the shortcrust on the pies - thin and crispy, just right. The mash was spot on too. It's a quirky little spot, felt very welcoming. Service was quick, and the outside benches are handy if there's a short wait. A solid choice for a classic.

The mussels and hake fillet special were lovely. Booking ahead meant we didn’t have to wait for a table, which was nice.

Great for catching up with friends! The staff were really nice and the food was fresh. It does get busy though, so maybe book ahead.

The fish was huge, honestly the biggest I've seen. Cooked fresh and came out piping hot. The chips were decent too. Friendly staff, but the wait was a bit long since everything's made to order.

Always packed, so you might wait a bit. But the food is solid—they don't cut corners on quality. Good spot to catch up with mates.

A nice spot by the sea, and they even had water bowls for the dog. The wine list was decent, a pleasant surprise for a casual place.

A good option for gluten-free dining. They have a dedicated menu and separate fryers, which is reassuring.

Decided to try the indoor seating. Food came out hot, which was a plus. Waiter seemed quiet at first but got more chatty as the meal went on. Service was solid in the end.

Stopped by for a classic fish and chips fix. They do a vegan version with banana blossom, which was a nice surprise. You can even pick your cooking oil. The banana blossom was crispy, tasted pretty good.

First time trying their vegan options. The Tom Kha Kai with mushrooms was a lovely surprise, not even on the menu!

Malcolm was so attentive, really made us feel welcome. The seafood pasta was spot on, fresh and flavourful. A lovely evening.

Great little pub, love the vibe. The craft beer list is solid, had a couple of local IPAs that went down a treat. Just the right kind of place to unwind.

The 2-for-1 cocktails are always a good shout. It's just a solid, dependable place for a drink. The vibe is always easy, never feels like they're trying too hard.

The fish and chips were solid, really enjoyed the crispy batter. Just wish there was a bit more variety on the menu, maybe a burger or something different for a change. Felt a bit limited for choice.

Service was top-notch, they really took my nut allergy seriously. Food was fresh and came out at a good pace. The wine list had some interesting local options that paired nicely with the main.

The ribs and chicken were so good, honestly. The staff were really lovely too, which made it a great spot for a catch-up with friends. We didn't feel rushed at all.

The full English breakfast was solid, good quality ingredients. A reliable spot for a decent meal.

The crispy duck pancakes are the real deal here. The skin is shatteringly crisp, the meat moist, and the hoisin sauce has that perfect sweet-savoury balance. The pancakes are thin and pliable, just right. Honestly, it's the best version I've had outside of China.

Stumbled upon this place in York. The soba tea was a fun surprise – it actually tasted like popcorn! The cheesecakes were lovely and light too. Staff were really helpful with the huge tea menu, took their time explaining things.

Been coming here for years. Always a solid choice for a Sunday dinner, and the veggie option is consistently good.

This restaurant offers an impressive all-vegan menu with a variety of delicious dishes. The staff is friendly and attentive, making it a great dining experience.

The Sunday roast is a proper treat! The beef was so tender, and the roasties were spot on. Perfect for a chilled catch-up with mates.

The Lamb Karahi here is a standout. The meat was so tender, cooked perfectly in that rich, spicy gravy. Sheesh kebab was good too. Honestly, didn't expect to find such solid Indian food tucked away here. Portions are generous for the price.

Service was really attentive, they noticed our water glasses were low without us having to ask. Food came out at a nice pace, not rushed at all. The steak was cooked exactly as ordered. Just a solid, well-run evening.

Staying nearby so popped in. The lamb biryani was packed with flavour, and the portion was huge – I had leftovers for lunch the next day. Really good value.

The place is quiet and pleasant. I like the soft lighting and the comfortable chairs, makes it easy to relax. Good spot for a casual dinner.

Portions are decent and everything came out quickly. The noodle dishes we tried were pretty good.

Shared the "meal for one" with my colleague. The 1/4 duck portion was surprisingly generous for two. Good flavour, fair price. Place is very clean. Service was efficient, got us in and out for a quick business lunch.
