The bacon sandwich was spot on, simple and tasty. Chips were crispy and hot. Ice cream was creamy, just right for a sunny afternoon. A solid, unpretentious spot.

Nice to have the outdoor space for our dog. The ice cream next door was a lovely treat.

Been coming here for years. Shyam's pizza is the real deal, proper thin crust and just the right amount of cheese. Always hits the spot.

Nice spot for a quick break after the walk. Sandwiches are made fresh when you order, so there's a bit of a wait. Cakes are homemade and decent. Good for a fast bite if you're not in a huge rush.

The pastries are top-notch, especially the Danish. The chairs were quite comfortable too, which made a nice difference.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a nice rustic feel. They've got all the modern bits you need too. It's a pretty good spot for a quiet weekend. The only thing is the walls are a bit thin, so you might hear some hallway noise.

The portion sizes are generous for the price. My main came with a side salad and bread, which was a nice touch. Good value for a casual dinner out.

Drove a fair way for the Buffalo Soldier burger again. It's just so juicy, the flavour is spot on. The Smash Stack was great too. That's pretty much it, just wanted the burger.

The vegan bacon was a nice touch, they actually went and got some when they were out. Portions are decent for the price, I left feeling full. Good to see a place that caters to different diets without charging a fortune.

Loved the vibe here. The decor is just beautiful, really sets a relaxed mood for a meal. It felt warm and inviting the moment we stepped in.

Nice little spot, the coffee was really good. I had an oat milk flat white and it was spot on. The vibe is cool and colourful, but honestly, I was a bit surprised by the price for the size of the cup. Felt a little small for what you pay.

The spinach and blue cheese croquettes were a lovely surprise. The rest of the tapas selection felt solid and authentic.

Cosy spot for a casual dinner. I really appreciated the fresh ingredients in the salad - the greens were crisp and the tomatoes tasted like they were just picked. A nice, simple meal.

The soup bases are the highlight. Tried the spicy miso broth with the thick noodles, really hit the spot on a cold day. Good selection to choose from.

Ipfu's my usual sushi fix in York. The chicken gyoza are spot on. They had a decent Pinot Noir by the glass that worked surprisingly well with the richer dishes. Always clean, feels relaxed.

Nat and Josh were super helpful with suggestions. The Great White Buffalo burger was the star. Quick service, perfect for a fast lunch.

Been coming here for years, and the beer selection is always spot on. Eight cask ales on, including a couple of porters last time. That glass-walled cellar upstairs is a nice touch. Just a solid, reliable pub.

Been living here for years, and this place is a solid choice when you want something different. The food tastes like the real deal. Service is friendly without being over the top. A nice change from the usual.

Nice little cafe in the park. The food was tasty and the prices were fair, which is always a plus.

Visiting York for Christmas and needed some Vietnamese food. The pho and shrimp cakes were spot on, really hit the spot. The place itself is nice and cosy, just what you want on a cold day.

Stumbled on this spot during a wander through Ripon. The seafood pasta was spot on, tasted just like I remember from Italy. Huge portion too – my friend and I ended up sharing one. Nice to find somewhere you can actually have a proper chat over dinner.

Really liked the vibe here. It's spacious and the decor is cool. Plenty of seats and power sockets, which is a plus. A good spot to just sit with a coffee and watch the world go by for a bit.

Tofu pad thai for a quick lunch. Noodles weren't dry, sauce was good. Plenty of veggies, tofu was fried nicely. Got it in under 10 minutes, which is what I needed. Solid choice when you're in a rush.

Friendly staff, and they actually have a gluten-free menu which is a plus. The wait for our food was around 20 minutes, but the portions were huge. No trouble getting a table.

Popped in solo and had the three-course meal. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, especially in the starter.

Lamb belly on sourdough was solid. Service from Maria was efficient and friendly. Convenient spot for a quick lunch.

Lovely quirky little spot. The staff are so friendly and helpful, really makes you feel welcome. Had a flat white and a slice of their lemon drizzle cake - both were spot on. A nice place to just sit and relax for a bit.

Lovely food, and the portions are generous. The ingredients tasted really fresh, which is always a plus.
