Found this little spot tucked away from the main road. The staff were really friendly and attentive, which made the whole meal feel very relaxed. Food took a little while, but it was worth the wait.

Stumbled in for a quick business lunch. The sea bass and mussels were fresh, well-prepared. Good quality for the price point. Service was efficient. A solid option near the office.

Good selection for breakfast and lunch, generous portions. The wine list is solid, but I wish they had more by-the-glass options to pair with the lighter lunch dishes. Still, found a nice Pinot Gris that went well with my salad.

Came with a group to try their tapas. The patatas bravas were spot on - crispy outside, fluffy inside. The gambas al ajillo had a nice garlic kick. Good for sharing, plates came out at a decent pace. Service was attentive without hovering.

Chef personally brought our food over. Had a quick chat, he's clearly passionate about what he does. Made a fast lunch feel a bit more special.

Love the atmosphere in the old converted building. The different rooms and the courtyard give it a lot of character.

First time at a Taco Bell and it was a nice surprise. The staff were really helpful when I mentioned a food allergy, which made ordering so much easier. The tacos were tasty and didn't cost a fortune.

Popped in for a late breakfast. The pancakes were warm and fresh, came with a huge pile of bacon and loads of syrup. Just what I needed. Staff were nice too.

The homemade chili sauce here is pretty good. It’s got a decent kick, even for someone who likes things quite spicy. A nice touch with the dumplings. The place was a bit busy, so service wasn’t the quickest, but the food was fine.

Nice chilled vibe here, staff were friendly and gave good drinks advice. Toilets were clean too.

The oat latte is a standout. They serve it with a little heart-shaped shortbread, which is a nice touch. The coffee itself is excellent, really well-balanced. It paired nicely with the quiet morning vibe. A solid spot for a proper coffee.

My gluten-free diet means I rarely get good cake. Their lemon and rose meringue was a proper treat. The whole menu can be made GF, which is a relief. My dog enjoyed his sausage, too.

Came in without a booking and they were so welcoming. The service was spot-on throughout. A highlight was the sommelier's suggestion for a red to go with the steak—really made the dish. Staff are genuinely attentive without being overbearing.

Five cheese and wine pairing. They explained each one, which was nice. Made for a good, relaxed evening. Service was a bit slow between courses, but the food itself was spot on. Solid choice if you're not in a rush.

Popped in after a walk. The pork belly was spot on - crispy skin, tender meat. Got a bit busy later, service slowed down. Decent spot if you're nearby.

Love the old-school pub vibe here, feels just right for York. The bar looks great with those barrels. Staff were really friendly too.

Came for a coffee and ended up staying for ages just watching the river. The staff were really nice about it, didn't rush me at all. That view is the real draw here.

Excellent pub, obviously loved by the locals who booked it out - so make sure you have a reservation. 6.30 seems to be when they all flock in. Our table was for 7pm so we ended up having a bit of a wait and to make an alternative choice for mains as ours was sold out. Well kept cellar - excellent beers and plenty of cocktails available. Will return when next in York

Been coming here for years, and the private room upstairs is still my favourite spot. The view never gets old.

Generous portions, but the menu could use more fresh, healthy options.

The coffee's served in a proper, big mug which I really liked. It's a nice, relaxed spot to sit for a while, especially compared to the much busier places inside the park.

Love the flower-painted courtyard! It's such a nice spot to sit and relax. The inside feels spacious too, never crowded.

The chicken combo is a lot of food for the money, we had leftovers. I really appreciated how fresh the salad greens were, crisp and vibrant. The grilled chicken itself was nicely seasoned, not dry at all. A good, filling option if you're watching your budget but still want a decent meal.

A nice, clean spot for a casual lunch. The atmosphere is relaxed and it felt comfortable just sitting there for a while. The food was pretty good, though the portion was a bit on the smaller side for the price.

The harbour view from the bar is just stunning. Perfect for a quiet evening drink. The fizz selection was decent, though I wish they had a few more by-the-glass options. A lovely, relaxed spot.

The portions here are massive. I ordered the shepherd's pie and couldn't finish half of it, ended up with a takeaway box. Good value for the amount you get.

The fish and chips arrived piping hot and fresh. Loved having the condiments right there on the table, so handy. Just a really nice, simple meal.

Lovely beer garden at the back, so tranquil for a quiet pint. Felt like a proper local spot where everyone's welcome. The perfect place to unwind after a long week.
