I was impressed by how fresh the ingredients were. The vegetables in the stir-fry had a lovely crispness, and the chicken tasted very clean. The setting is nice, but it was the quality of the produce that stood out for me. A good spot for a healthy meal.

Been coming here for years. The Brie and chutney panini is still spot on, especially on a sunny day outside.

the staff are genually willing to help your eating experience is above average. More importantly the food is cooked to order on site by a enthusiastic Chef and presented beautifully. Well worth a visit.

Been coming here for years. The chocolate brownie is always good, and they do a decent gluten-free one too. Coffee's spot on. Breakfast is solid, nothing fancy but gets the job done.

The burgers here are solid, but the portion size for the price left me a bit underwhelmed. My partner's was fine, but mine felt a touch on the small side. Still tasty, just wish there was a bit more to it.

Been coming here for years. The food's still as good as I remember, and the staff are just as friendly. It's nice to see a place that doesn't change for the worse. Had the steak pie again, spot on.

Weekday lunch is a steal for the amount you get. Loads of variety, tried a bit of everything. The grilled aubergine was a standout. Portions are generous, left feeling very full. Good deal for a casual meal.

The Christmas Eve dinner was a proper treat, and the coffee's always spot on. But for what you pay, I did expect a bit more on the plate for the main course. Still, the quality is there.

The power went out halfway through our meal. They brought out candles and didn't rush us at all. The steak was still cooked perfectly medium-rare, even in the dim light. Honestly, the food didn't miss a beat.

Staff were super friendly, made us feel right at home. They even sang happy birthday for my cousin, which was a nice surprise. Just a really warm vibe here.

Decent fish and chips, and the portions are generous for the price. The seating is a bit cramped, but it's a handy spot in the centre.

Been here a few times. The staff really know their stuff, explained the dishes well. Had the roast duck and a couple dim sum, all looked great and tasted spot on. Good Cantonese spot.

The crab linguine was packed with big chunks of crab and tasted fresh. Just a bit oily for my liking.

Service was quick and friendly, portions were generous. We’ll be back.

Cosy spot, and the food's always fresh. Their takeaway is popular for a reason - the prawn curry last night was spot on.

The food here is so fresh. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. I had the grilled sea bass and the greens were crisp and vibrant. A lovely, simple lunch. The service was attentive, too.

Mixed shawarma hit the spot today. The bread was fresh, meat nicely seasoned, and the salad was crisp. Honestly, it's up there with the better spots around here. Just a solid, tasty wrap.

The crispy duck was cooked just right and packed with flavour. Portions are decent for the price.

Booked a table and it was a good idea, the place was packed. Staff were really on it even with the rush, we didn't feel forgotten. Just a comfortable, straightforward dinner.

The pizza was decent for the price. A bit sloppy, but they give you a free pot of garlic sauce. That sauce is the real deal, really makes it.

Been coming here for years. Shyam's pizza is the real deal, proper thin crust and just the right amount of cheese. Always hits the spot.

The crispy beef noodles were really nice. They pack the fried noodles and the saucy beef in separate containers, which is a thoughtful touch. It kept the noodles from getting soggy on the way home. The beef itself was tender and the sauce had a good depth of flavour.

Drove a fair way for the Buffalo Soldier burger again. It's just so juicy, the flavour is spot on. The Smash Stack was great too. That's pretty much it, just wanted the burger.

Loved the vibe here. The decor is just beautiful, really sets a relaxed mood for a meal. It felt warm and inviting the moment we stepped in.

The spinach and blue cheese croquettes were a lovely surprise. The rest of the tapas selection felt solid and authentic.

Ipfu's my usual sushi fix in York. The chicken gyoza are spot on. They had a decent Pinot Noir by the glass that worked surprisingly well with the richer dishes. Always clean, feels relaxed.

The espresso martini was spot on. Strong coffee flavour, not too sweet, and a proper creamy foam on top. The view was a bonus, but honestly, I'd come back just for that drink.

Been living here for years, and this place is a solid choice when you want something different. The food tastes like the real deal. Service is friendly without being over the top. A nice change from the usual.
