Stumbled upon this place in town centre. Portuguese home cooking, feels like someone&#39;s kitchen. The homemade chips are the star, crispy and salty. Rustic decor, a bit worn but it&#39;s part of the vibe.

John, Amy, and Kinga were all fantastic. They remembered I was into wine and suggested a glass that paired perfectly with my steak. That kind of attention is what keeps me coming back.

The combo easily fed four of us. Food was nice, but the cake had that fridge-chill to it. Their house red was a decent match though.

We stopped by for dinner over the weekend. The lamb curry was really good, flavourful and tender. Service was friendly, though the wait for our mains was a little long. A solid spot for Indian food.

The afternoon tea in the Cellar was lovely. Anna and her team were very attentive. I particularly appreciated the freshness of the ingredients, especially the cucumber sandwiches and the scones. Everything felt light and thoughtfully prepared.

The 40oz tomahawk was the star here - cooked just right. Staff were really friendly too.

Loved the upstairs space. Those big bay windows let in the most beautiful light during lunch. Felt so peaceful just sitting there. The bill for five of us, with a few drinks, was surprisingly gentle.

The food here has that lovely, homemade feel to it. We grabbed a bottle of their olive oil on the way out &ndash; perfect for when my friends come over for dinner.

The call zall Naga was lovely&mdash;spicy but you could still taste all the flavours. The chairs were quite comfy, which was a nice surprise.

Been here a couple times with friends. The vibe is really welcoming, perfect for a casual catch-up. Food&#39;s always solid.

This place has so much character. Love the old beams and the fireplace. They sometimes have live music, which really adds to the cosy, relaxed vibe.

The katsu curry was tasty, but the portion felt a bit small for the price. It&#39;s a clean spot, but I left still a little hungry.

The steak was cooked exactly as I asked, which I appreciate. The curry and mac and cheese were both solid. A good, straightforward meal.

Hannah and Dave have put together such a cosy, quirky little spot. It genuinely feels like you&#39;re over at a favourite relative&#39;s house for dinner. The whole vibe is just really warm and welcoming.

The gyros are a proper hangover cure, and the portions are huge. What really stood out was the vibe &ndash; it&rsquo;s a simple, no-frills spot, but the space feels bright and relaxed. The waitress was lovely, too.

We were welcomed with a big greeting as always, the service is great you don&#39;t wait very long before they take your order. And they help you if you&#39;re not sure what  is  what. The food is great and nice and hot .

The allergy protocols here are solid. Separate servers, dedicated utensils, even a different colored plate for my order. You can tell they&#39;ve trained for it. Felt completely at ease.

The tasting menu was a real journey. Each plate was like a tiny piece of art, especially the bass&mdash;it just melted. A lovely, thoughtful evening.
