The staff is very friendly, and they also speak several languages. The meals are excellent.The only downside is that they serve you bread and butter upon arrival without informing you that, if you eat it, it will be charged at 8 euros.

This is not your ordinary restaurant. The food is amazingly fresh and inventive. We shared three starters including barnacles (these are not the same barnacles that adhere to the hulls of ships), which the staff graciously demonstrated how to extract from the shells. Our main course was an amazingly fresh scuttle fish (filleted and deboned) that we shared with a side dish. Some reviewers have complained about the price/quantity of food, but we left well satisfied, and for about the same as a high-end restaurant in the US. Highly recommend!

Sat by the open kitchen this time. Watching the pizzaiolos toss the dough was the best part, honestly. Pizza came out decent, crust had a good chew. Place was busy for a Tuesday, got a bit loud but it&#39;s part of the charm. I&#39;d come back if I&#39;m in the area and want a casual bite.

The staff handled my gluten thing without making it awkward. That alone was a win. Had the grilled octopus, decent portion. Server pointed me to a Douro red that actually paired well with it. Menu&rsquo;s got enough options to make you come back. Nothing fancy, just solid.

The seafood linguine was the move &mdash; pasta cooked right, sauce creamy but not heavy. Solid spot for a casual dinner. Would&#39;ve liked a better wine by the glass though.

Cozy little place, staff were super friendly and we didn&rsquo;t wait long for food. Nothing mind-blowing but solid for a casual catch-up with friends. Prices felt fair for what you get 🙂

The caipirinha during happy hour was really good, probably my favorite in Porto. Fresh lime and not too sweet, just how I like it.

Stopped by for a late-night drink and ended up staying longer than planned. Wine list is solid, not huge, but they picked some good Portuguese options. Had a glass of red with their tapas&mdash;the pairing worked nicely. Prices fair for what you get. Place was cozy, staff let us take our time. Would come back if I&#39;m in the area again.

Grilled dorada was spot on &mdash; crispy skin, tender meat. With a glass of house white, still cheaper than my usual coffee back home. Can&#39;t complain.

Walked past Majestic Cafe and ended up here instead. Place is way bigger inside than it looks. Saw a local eating some meat with potatoes and rice, pointed at it, got the same. Huge plate, really tasty. Four of us with drinks, 20 euros total. Can&#39;t complain.

The grilled sardines were really good. Fresh, salty, cooked over the open flame just right. Portion was decent for the price too, not one of those places that rips you off for a tiny plate. I&#39;d go back just for that dish.

The prawns were the highlight for me&mdash;small but so fresh, just simply grilled with salt. That&#39;s how you do seafood. Service was on point too, kept our water topped up without hovering. A solid meal in Matosinhos, no complaints. Maybe a bit pricey for what it is, but the quality makes up for it.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Sandwiches were pretty good, decent size. Staff friendly enough. Octopus salad was a bit bland, wouldn&#39;t get that again. But the place has a nice buzz to it. Fine for what it is.

This place is spotless!  The waitresses were so friendly and helpful with the menu. Definitely the best place in Porto for Francesinha!  All four of us are going back for it again!  Another delicious dish was the short rib with Parmesan risotto. They also have a lovely bakery section and we enjoyed desserts after dinner. We highly recommend it!

The garlic shrimp were really good&mdash;fresh, plenty of garlic, not oily at all. I liked that they brought out little snacks before the meal, nice touch. Nothing fancy about the place, but the food speaks for itself. Would come back for those shrimp alone. Maybe slightly pricey for the setting, but fair for what you get.

Came here with a couple of friends after someone said it was the real deal. Honestly, the portions are huge and the food tastes like actual home cooking. We ordered a bit of everything and still left with boxes. The walnut pie for dessert was the highlight for me. Prices are super fair too, especially for the amount you get. Place is a bit simple inside but that&rsquo;s part of the charm I guess.

Food was decent &mdash; the grilled fish came out fresh and simple, no fuss. Service friendly enough, though the room ran a bit cold. Cash only, so make sure you&#39;ve got some on you. Pretty good stop if you&#39;re nearby and not in a hurry.

Stumbled onto this place and loved the vibe &mdash; that quirky interior really gives it personality. The Talho Burger was solid, and the Lallo wine surprised me in a good way. Only thing, fries came out a bit soft, and it&#39;s pretty dim in the back if you&#39;re trying to take pics. Still, I&#39;d go back for that burger.

Nice riverside spot for wine and cold plates with friends, though service kinda faded after the food came. 🍷
