The ploughman's lunch was pretty good and a decent portion. The weekday offer makes it good value. Ale was fine.

Been coming here for years, and the consistency is what keeps me coming back. Ordered the pad thai again last night, and it was exactly as I remember—same generous portion, same rich flavour. That kind of reliability is hard to find.

Came for the Grinch breakfast event, they handled a packed pub of kids brilliantly. My full English was spot on. The real highlight was their house bloody mary - a proper kick, really made the morning. The Grinch himself was a riot with the little ones.

Staff were friendly and attentive. The on-street parking nearby was a plus. The restaurant is also accessible for those with mobility needs.

Nice little spot. The old music and beach photos on the walls give it a proper relaxed vibe. Had the fish and chips here last Friday, the batter was light and crispy. Good for a quiet meal.

Met a friend here for a long catch-up. The space is bright and relaxed, really nice for that. Staff were great about refilling our teas and coffees without us having to ask. Felt like we could sit for ages.

The mega mixed grill was pretty good. The meat was decently tender, and the peppercorn sauce was nice. It was a solid meal, though the portion felt a bit smaller than expected for the price.

Loved the cozy basement vibe here! The music was spot on, and the staff were so friendly. We had a really relaxed date night.

The Sunday roast is the thing to get. The beef was cooked just right, still pink in the middle, and the gravy had a proper depth to it. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. A solid plate of food.

Been here a few times now, both dining in and getting takeaway. The chicken saag with onion rice is my go-to, so flavourful! The staff are always so friendly, which makes it a nice spot to catch up with friends.

The wine list is really well-curated and changes with the seasonal menu. Staff knew exactly what to recommend with the scallops.

The Kabuli Pulao is spot on, really generous with the meat. Nice little surprise with the extra side, too.

Been coming here for years for their Sunday roast. It's always spot on, the beef is cooked just right and the gravy is proper. Staff are friendly, they'll check if you want more veg even when it's getting late.

Service was really friendly even on a busy Friday night. Our waiter Bassey was so lovely and attentive, made the whole evening feel relaxed and easy. Just what you want after a long week.

The soup was a proper homemade job, really hit the spot on a damp day. My only gripe? The wine list is a bit limited for a place that does such solid, rustic food. The pinot noir I had was fine, just a bit simple. Still, the wrap was spot on.

Lovely spot for a light lunch. The bacon & brie panini was tasty, though I'd love to see a wholemeal bread option. The homemade lemon drizzle cake was the highlight – you could really taste the fresh zest. A nice treat.

Been coming here for years, and the dog biscuit is a nice touch. Our spaniel always gets one, makes it feel like a proper local. Tables are always clean, staff are friendly. It’s just a reliable spot.

Always busy, so you know the food's good. I finally tried their signature ramen - the broth is rich and the pork belly melts in your mouth. Worth the wait!

Busy Saturday night, but the food didn't suffer for it. My steak was cooked just right. Service was a bit slow getting drinks, but I've seen worse on a weekend.

The naan was fresh and warm, perfect for dipping. The red salsa had a nice kick, and the mint chutney was really fresh. Portions were generous for what you pay.

Live music on a Tuesday night. Nice surprise. Got a quick bite at the bar, burger was decent. Music was loud but good for a midweek pick-me-up. Would stop by again if I'm in the area and need a fast dinner with some tunes.

Lovely spot for a quick bite. The bartender was really friendly, poured me something special from a unique bottle. Tasted great. Food came out fast, which is exactly what I needed.

A proper cosy pub, just a short walk from James Street station. Perfect for a pint after a day out. The atmosphere is really nice and relaxed.

Decent spot with plenty of seats inside and out. Always seems busy, which I like. The pizzas are the main draw for me - really solid. Prices are fair and the portions are generous.

The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, creating a lovely ambiance for dining. I enjoyed the food and the overall vibe of the place.

They've got a great selection of desserts - waffles, crepes, sundaes, and some interesting gelato. The real winner for me was the dark chocolate gelato with a glass of tawny port. That pairing just worked.
