Very nice, welcoming and clean restaurant. Familiar but refined atmosphere. Kind, attentive and punctual staff. Impeccable service. But the gem is the menu: absolutely not banal and very special. Rich and very tasty dishes. Personally we had a beef carpaccio with pear compote and pecorino flakes for appetizer, fettuccine speck and mushrooms and a chitarra for first course, grilled local pecorino cheese for second course. All exquisite, very tasty and rich in seasoning. Recommended the chitarra alla Plistia with saffron, bacon and pecorino... Superb!! Much appreciated to finish the house red wine and the chocolate fondue for dessert. We will certainly return and we will also bring our friends with us. A warm greeting to the Staff and... See you soon!

Not being fluent in Italian, restaurant menus tend to be of a challenge for me, however the staff were extremely helpful in guiding us through our meal choices and we had a superb meal together with a splendid Abruzzo wine.

We made a reservation for Christmas dinner at 7:30. We were traveling with two dogs, which most restaurants in Italy allow dogs inside, but I walked ahead to the restaurant first to make sure it was ok before we brought them in. There was a cat that ran in the door ahead of me so I told the gentleman we had a reservation but we have two dogs and one doesn’t like cats so maybe I should come back without them. He said the cat will leave and he put it outside and told me it was ok. I walked around the corner to my friend and dogs and we headed in where we were told we have to leave because the restaurant is too small to let us in with dogs. It was very dramatic they way they acted. The entire restaurant was staring like we did something wrong. I put them back in the hotel and we tried to find availability at another open restaurant with no luck. We reluctantly went back (where there was a group just inside the door with a dog) and were seated upstairs. The waitress asked before we even sat what we wanted. I ordered two red wines and asked for a menu. She said no menus due to Covid and asked again what we want. I said how am I supposed to know if I don’t know what you have? She said “pasta, meat….?” She had the most disgraceful rude attitude. The look on her face was pure disgust like we were somehow being rude asking what dishes they had. I speak Italian well but not as fast as a native obviously so when I was asking questions she would cut me off and try to guess what word was I was going to say next instead of letting me speak. We ordered one ravioli to share, she brought two. We ordered one steak to share, she said she understood this time, she brought two. The check was €68 for dry flavorless pasta (was supposed to be brown butter sage ravioli) and a decent (small but well cooked) steak with nothing else, and two house red wines. We paid €25 less for a full course meal with a bottle of wine at a delicious restaurant in the same area the night before.
