TheForkUserEverything about Bistrot a’ Ficaredda was fantastic. Service, vibe, setting all top notch. And the food! Each thing we ate was better than anything you’ve ever tasted! If you are looking for authentic Sicilian fare, get there. It’s well worth the trip up to Castelmola.

TheForkUserStarting from the suggestive square where the restaurant of the same name is located, then passing through the extreme care and kindness of the staff, finally arriving at the exquisite dishes served (a praise goes to the scenographic presentation of the desserts: the tiramisu served in the mocha and the tree with the trunk of chocolate and leaves of cotton candy immersed in a forest of crumbled biscuits). The restaurant offers in my opinion a very nice and well-structured service, that is, the possibility of choosing an "excursus" of tastings of the different dishes found on the menu. I was very impressed by the fact that the cooked dishes are not at all heavy, indeed they manage to balance lightness and richness of flavors very well. Another mention goes to the sauces, each with a singular flavor. To recap in short: I had an excellent experience, everything was impeccable, if you find yourself in Taormina I highly recommend you stop by. The only negative thing is that unfortunately I will not be able to return for a long time, as I live in another city.

TheForkUserAn excellent and quality find, tucked away on the edge of Patti Marina in a lovely restored block, just steps from the sea. All 3 of us selected the varied degustazione menu, and we were well rewarded. Caponata with fish and sea-arancina stand out among the trio of antipasti. Seafood Pasta was divine, lavishly mixing a generous proportion of pasta with perfectly seasoned and cooked fish, capers, tomatoes. Manna. Excellent second dishes. An equally amazing choice of desserts. Must return soon to test more from the intriguing menu.

From the outside, it looks like a Sicilian-style Italian restaurant, and it also serves full meals. There are many hotels nearby! Of course, even the hotels are closed in winter.
