The seafood tagliatelle was the star of the night — proper fresh pasta and plenty of prawns. Bar staff kept things lively too. Service was spot on.

Came here with a big group for a hen do and we had the whole upstairs to ourselves. The waitresses were brilliant, honestly so on top of everything. Two courses and everyone was happy with their food. Just a really easy spot for a celebration, no fuss at all.

Came in without expectations, left properly stuffed. The lamb was spot on, tender and full of flavour. Service kept things moving without hovering. Only gripe, the place got a bit loud by the end. Still, solid feed for the price.

Stopped in for dinner during a work trip. Food was well-presented and the Slovenian wine was a nice change of pace. Family-run spot with a decent vibe. Service was fine, nothing to complain about.

The leek and potato soup here is still as good as the first time I had it. Fresh bread on the side, proper comfort food. Staff remember you after a few visits, which is nice.

The mixed platter for two was a solid start—everything on it tasted fresh. Meat in the mains was properly tender too. Just watch out, portions are massive. We ordered extra naan and totally didn't need it.

The scones were unreal — still warm and crumbly, exactly how they should be. Afternoon tea here beat anywhere else I've tried. Service was spot on too.

We popped in for a late lunch after wandering the gardens, and honestly the setting is the whole vibe. Vincent looked after us really well, super friendly without hovering. The caramel dessert was the highlight for me, so good. It’s pricey, but you’re basically paying for the castle backdrop, which is fair enough. Would come back for a treat. 😊

Stopped in for a late lunch after a walk around the area. Fish and chips were done right, crispy batter and the fish was flaky. Guinness was a proper pour too, creamy and cold. Place was busy but not mad chaotic. Only thing, took a wee while to get the food out, but sure look, it was worth the wait.

We stopped in on a rainy night and grabbed a seat near the window. The oysters were lovely and fresh, and the seafood plates came out looking proper. Service was spot on, even with the place getting busier. Only thing was we waited a bit for the bill, but no rush on our end. Nice spot for a relaxed dinner.

Came for the trad session on Sunday and the food totally surprised me. The dish of the day was proper tasty, exactly what I needed. Place was packed but the wait felt fine, the music kept it easy. Wouldn’t mind going back just for that again.

Stopped here during a cycling trip — the chowder and brown bread were spot on. Portion sizes were generous too. Solid lunch stop.

Coffee was way better than I expected, honestly better than some spots in Germany. Staff were friendly, breakfast did the job. Nice little find.

Popped in for a late breakfast and grabbed the poached eggs with wild mushrooms on brown bread. The mushrooms tasted properly fresh, not the usual watery stuff. Coffee was solid too, nice and strong. Baked goods looked decent but I didn't try any this time. Place was a bit busy but worth it for the eggs.

The gluten-free pizza was actually decent — nice surprise. Service was a bit all over the place, but honestly the food saved it.

The host let us taste a few wines before deciding, which I loved. Ravioli with the slow braised meat was silky, sauce rich. Really nice spot.

Stopped by for breakfast and honestly the staff were the best part. Got a quick reply when I emailed to book, which I wasn't expecting. They were sound at the table too, even brought out a little birthday thing without me asking. Food was grand, nothing mad, but the service made it feel like a nicer spot than what we paid. Wouldn't mind going back if I'm in the area again.

Stopped in for a coffee and ended up grabbing a pastel de nata too. That thing was genuinely good, flaky and not too sweet. Owner was sound, chatted away like we'd known him for ages. Prices are fair for what you get, especially in this area. Might be back if I'm passing.

Came here for a work thing and honestly the space surprised me. Warm lighting, not too loud even when it filled up. Staff were sound, kept checking in without hovering. Didn’t try much food but the beef cheek was proper tender. Wouldn’t mind going back just for that. Maybe a bit pricey for what you get but alright for a treat.

Service was impressively quick and the staff were genuinely friendly. Portions are generous and the food hit the spot.

Solid spot for a quick pint. Staff were efficient, no messing around. Gets busy later on, so come early if you want a seat.

The mussels came out in a proper pot, really tasty. Had the chateaubriand special too, peppercorn sauce was spot on. Would’ve loved a better wine match for it though.

Stopped in on the bike last week. Food was decent and came out quick enough. Fine spot for a bite if you're passing through.

Ducked in for dinner and honestly the duck breast with fig sauce was the star. Mashed potatoes were smooth, soaked up the sauce nicely. Strawberry pavlova for dessert was light and not too sweet. They also gave us free bread and hummus to start which I wasn't expecting. Place was a bit noisy but food made up for it.

The goat cheese brûlée starter was unreal, and the lamb with mint was spot on. Service was dead sound too. Fair price for what you get 👌

Stayed an extra night because we were enjoying it. Food was solid, staff friendly, and the price felt fair for what you got. No complaints.
