The disco button in the bathroom was a fun surprise. It made me smile. The whole place had a good, buzzy energy, with different floors to explore. Spotted a room with games for groups too.

Been coming here for years. The room's always spotless and comfy, the food's consistently good. But the real draw for me is the location – it's so peaceful by the castle. That quiet never gets old.

Been coming here for years. The staff are always friendly, they remember my usual order. It's that kind of consistent, reliable service that keeps me coming back to this little spot.

Stopped in on a long drive. The carvery was a proper feed – huge plate, loads of veg, and the beef was spot on. Just what you need after hours on the motorway.

The quinoa and brown rice salad was really fresh. I liked the portion size too, it was quite generous. The space itself felt a bit tight between tables, but the natural light from the big windows was nice.

Cocktails were solid. The 2-for-1 deal was a nice touch. Got the espresso martini and a classic negroni. Both hit the spot. Would go back just for that.

The grilled pork was spot on, just the right amount of seasoning and cooked to perfection. It's the kind of dish that makes you want to come back for it alone.

The tofu vermicelli bowl was the star for me. It was so flavourful and filling, really hit the spot. Nice to see a few veggie options on the menu too.

Been here a few times. It's a tidy, pleasant spot. The portions are generous and the flavours are spot on. Staff are always friendly. Handy location, just a couple of minutes from the centre.

Been here a few times now. It's a good spot for a quiet dinner. The water feature and the low music make it easy to unwind. Food's always decent, nothing fancy but reliable. A solid local option.

Been to both the Stamford and Saffron Walden spots. The food's always solid and you get a lot for your money. Service is quick, which is a plus when you just want a straightforward meal.

Walked in for a quick bite, wasn't expecting much from a pub. The curry was really flavourful though, and didn't cost much. A solid surprise.

Nice spot for a casual dinner. The vibe is warm and relaxed, exactly what I wanted after work. The lighting was just right, not too bright. A solid choice when you just want to unwind without any fuss.

Portions are definitely generous for the price point. The food quality is solid. I had the lamb shank and a glass of Malbec that worked surprisingly well with the rich sauce. Maybe a touch heavy on the salt, but a good, hearty meal.

Ragu pizza was a nice surprise. Sauce had a good depth of flavour, and the base was spot on. Came out piping hot, just how you want it.

Christmas lunch with the family. The turkey was good, but the real star was the mulled wine. It paired so well with the rich gravy and all the trimmings. Service was a bit slow, but it was a busy day.

Club burger's chicken is surprisingly crunchy for the price.

The milkshakes are huge and really filling. I couldn't even finish mine after the burger. For the price, you get a proper dessert drink that's almost a meal on its own.

Been back a few times to try the breakfast menu. The fusion dishes are so interesting, and that window view is lovely. Really nice spot to catch up with friends.

Been coming here for years, and the coffee's always spot on. Doesn't matter if it's a quick morning takeaway or a lazy weekend sit-down, it's consistently good. That's why I keep returning.

Been coming here for years. The salsas with the tortilla chips are the main reason I keep coming back. They always have that same fresh, bright taste. It's a simple thing, but they never let it slip.

The Sunday roast was spot on. The Yorkshire pudding was crispy and the beef was cooked just right.

The sushi platter for two was a decent choice. Good variety, everything tasted fresh. The hot rolls were pretty good, though the portion felt a bit on the smaller side for the price.

Service was quick and friendly. They handled my no-onion request without any fuss. Made the lunch break feel a bit more relaxed.

Service was attentive. Staff noticed we were celebrating and added a few nice touches to the table without us asking. Made the occasion feel a bit more considered. Efficient and unobtrusive.

The spread here is wild – sushi next to a roast carving station, then curry. Perfect for our group where half wanted dumplings and the other half went straight for the Yorkshire puddings.

Third time here, still pretty good. The rump steak was cooked just right. Staff were friendly and adjusted a starter for us, which was nice. It's a decent spot for a reliable meal.

The wonton soup is massive and really hits the spot. I had it with a crisp lager, which cut through the richness nicely. Service was spot-on.
